Suddenly, some guards come from the dilapidated Quarry so Alex leads Cassie deeper into the Quarry. However, the guards find Alex after he falls through a roof, hit him, and lock him in a room. While detained, the guards beat ~~Alex~~, but he is still able to communicate with Cassie through her glasses. The two work together from afar to gather information and escape the Quarry. He also tells Cassie that he is an [[evo]], and demonstrates his [[telekinetic]] abilities. Cassandra and Alex fight, and Cassie comes off victorious. Hurt, Alex says that Cassie does have living family who used to live at the Quarry, and then Alex dies.
