			While inside the [[Eternal Fortress]], [[Tommy Clark\|Tommy]] views a memory where seven years before, Angela tested his and [[Malina]]'s ability combine their powers with [[Rene]] on hand to [[mental manipulation\|erase their memories]] of it. After something seems to go wrong, the memory ends with an energy beam shooting up into the sky.

			After Tommy and Malina are unable to combine their powers to stop [[the H.E.L.E.]], Tommy [[space-time manipulation\|travels back in time]] to when Angela tested their powers to see for himself what happened and what Angela concluded. Tommy sees Angela order a technician to pull his past self and Malina apart when the effort starts to kill them before the energy they generate suddenly channels through the technician into the sky as an energy blast. Angela realizes that in order to save the world, Tommy and Malina will need a conduit and Tommy teleports away.

			Tommy rescues [[Noah Bennet]] from death two days before the present and transports him back to Angela's testing. After realizing that they need a conduit, Angela tells Rene that in [[Angela's dreams\|her dream]], she saw a third faceless person who she now realizes must be Tommy and Malina's conduit, someone willing to sacrifice themselves so Tommy and Malina can save the world. When Rene asks her who the conduit will be, Angela seems to look right through the window at Noah and tells Rene she has a pretty good idea of who it will be. Tommy then tells Noah he needed Noah to see this so he could understand what Tommy was asking him to do.
