			In [[2014#June 2014\|June 2014]], Evans sits in the passenger seat of a truck with [[Detective Murphy\|Murphy]] behind the wheel as they follow [[Dearing]] towards [[Sunstone Manor]]. When Murphy drives into a [[mist mimicry\|strange mist]], Evans suddenly sees the silhouette of [[Oscar\|El Vengador]] in front of him. Just as Murphy hits the brakes, El Vengador stops the truck with his [[enhanced strength]], causing Evans's head to collide with the windshield. When El Vengador drags Murphy out of the truck, Evans aims his pistol at him, but is knocked out from behind by [[Father Mauricio]]. El Vengador ties up Evans and Murphy, but they later escape their bonds and regroup with Dearing.
