Malina asks if the same people who took [[Tommy Clark\|Tommy]] are the ones after her and Noah confirms it, telling her that they took Tommy to [[Midian, Colorado]] and they have to go there to rescue him. The two are approached by [[Luke Collins]] who explains that he helped Malina get there. While Noah is grateful for that, Malina tells him that [[Joanne Collins\|Luke's wife]] was the one who [[Luke and Joanne's victims\|killed]] [[Caspar Abraham\|Caspar]]. Luke tells them the situation with his ex-wife is complicated and he wants to help them find Tommy who he's met before. Noah grows suspicious of this, especially when Luke refuses to elaborate. Luke tells Noah that he's an [[evo]] and just wants to help, but Noah refuses his help and tells Luke to stay away.

			Driving to Midian, Noah notices Luke following them and Malina questions him about [[Claire Bennet\|her mother]]. Noah describes Claire's personality to Malina and tells his granddaughter that Malina reminds him of her. Noah tells Malina that leaving her and Tommy behind was the hardest thing he ever had to do, but Malina understands as [[Angela Petrelli]] had explained why he did it to her. Malina asks what Erica wants with Tommy and Noah explains that Erica's plan is to use [[space-time manipulation\|Tommy's power]] to jump a limited number of people over [[the H.E.L.E.]] to restart in the distant future. Noah theorizes that Erica isn't saving everyone as she likes humanity more than human beings and keeps an eye on Luke's car in the rearview mirror as he continues to drive to Midian.

			At a gas station, Noah spots Luke's car and Malina tells him she knew Luke would follow them. Noah confronts Luke who insists on helping them. Noah demands to know how Luke knew where to find Tommy and he admits that he and his wife were killing evos out of a misguided sense of retribution, believing that evos had killed [[Dennis Collins\|their son]] at the [[Odessa Unity Summit]]. Luke tells Noah that he was going to kill Tommy but has since changed and the things he's done will haunt him for the rest of his life. Luke insists that Malina saving him from his [[suicide]] attempt means that he still has something big to do with his life. Noah shows no sympathy for Luke, telling him that evos didn't kill his son and leaving with Malina as a big storm is heading their way.

			As they continue heading towards Midian, Noah and Malina stop when they see a massive storm in the distance. Malina insists they have to do something and climbs on top of a truck and begins using [[elemental control\|her powers]] to try to dissipate the storm as Noah watches. As Noah continues to watch Malina's attempt to stop the storm, the storm flings a car right at him. Moments before Noah can be crushed, [[Tommy Clark\|someone]] [[space-time manipulation\|appears]] next to him and grabs him by the arm. As Noah looks at the figure, he disappears into thin air moments before the car would've crushed him.

			After stopping the storm and being saved from an angry mob by Luke, Malina searches near the car for Noah and finds only [[horn-rimmed glasses\|broken glasses]]. Malina desperately searches for Noah near the car but can't find him. As the mob grows hostile again, Luke drags Malina away from her search for Noah.

			Noah makes his way to [[Carbondale, Illinois]] with [[Quentin Frady\|Quentin]], unaware of Quentin being a double-agent. In Carbondale, Noah makes his way to the hospital where [[Anne Clark]] has just told [[Tommy Clark\|Tommy]] the truth about his powers. Hearing Tommy denying he can [[space-time manipulation\|time travel]], Noah enters the room and informs Tommy he can time travel, calling his grandson by his birth name of Nathan. Noah explains [[the H.E.L.E.]] and Tommy's past to him, leaving him overwhelmed by all of the information. Noah tells Tommy he has to get Tommy and [[Malina\|his sister]] to [[Odessa, TX\|Odessa]] and sends Tommy out of the room while he talks to Anne.

			Sometime later, Tommy teleports outside of the hospital room with [[Emily Duval]] and Noah scolds him, saying that Tommy can't take off like that. Tommy tells him that [[Caspar Abraham\|Caspar]] is dead and that [[Joanne Collins\|a woman]] at [[Moe's Ice Cream Parlor\|Moe's]] [[Luke and Joanne's victims\|killed him]]. Tommy tries to teleport them to Moe's, but they find his powers to not be working. Recoginzing that something is wrong, Noah tells Tommy they have to run, but the lights shatter moments later. Noah turns to find [[Phoebe Frady\|Phoebe]] behind him holding [[umbrakinesis\|a ball of darkness]] and pulls [[The Company's guns\|his gun]] on her. To his shock, Quentin [[Quentin's victims\|holds Tommy at gunpoint]], telling Noah that he's working with [[Renautas]] as he always has to save the world. Noah realizes that Quentin is the [[butterfly]], the thing he changed when he altered the past. Quentin has no idea what Noah is talking about and Noah tells him that Tommy is their only hope. However, Quentin is also aware that Tommy is Noah's grandson and holds his gun to Tommy's head, threatening to kill him if Noah doesn't drop his gun. Noah contemplates shooting Phoebe, but ultimately lowers his gun. Quentin and Phoebe leave with Tommy with Phoebe taking Noah's gun as she goes. As Tommy is dragged away, Noah promises to find him again and it'll be alright.

			After Tommy's abduction, Noah calls the police about Caspar's murder and goes to Moe's where the police let him through once he identifies himself. To Noah's surprise, he recognizes a girl being interviewed by a detective as [[Malina]]. Noah identifies himself as Malina's grandfather to the police and embraces her, promising that he's got her now and everything will be alright.
