Dearing sees a [[mist mimicry|strange fog]] appear up ahead, so he tells the cop to stay alert. The cop remarks that he thought the [[wikipedia:marine layer|marine layer]] only happened in the morning. Dearing and the cop radio the driver of the truck behind them, [[Detective Murphy]], to tell him to keep up because he is trailing behind. When they lose contact with the truck and [[Oscar|El Vengador]] appears in the cop&#039;s wing mirror, the cop takes aim with his shotgun, but before he can fire, El Vengador slams his car into Dearing&#039;s.
