	Honestly? I love the whole idea. It sounds like every dystopic-future Heroes fanfic I've ever read, and with the quality of some of those, the writers would do well to take heed... wink* It would be similar to the dystopic futures from Volumes 1 and 3, but instead of being a vague threat that they have to prevent, it's a present reality. It would be an entirely different direction to take the Heroes in, and I think it would be an amazing angle for them to explore. (Incidentally, is there any particular reason you chose that title for the thread? Was it just convenient? You have a better argument with the point about the villian being not a person, but an ideology. However, even then, multiple abilities would help, rather then hinder anyone. We learned this in Volume 4- Sylar cornered by a mob of agents is still able to blast them all, while numerous people with one ability were taken down and captured. What would stop a multiple-powered Peter from stopping Claire jumping off the Ferris Wheel and outing everyone? With his EM or just 4-5 AR powers he could easily stop Samuel. Therefore, you're wrong to say that a multiple-powered person couldn't affect that story negatively. And even if all this wasn't the case, that argument can only conclude "if we get a storyline where specials are hated by humans, then it would be ok for Peter to get a power boost." We currently do not have such a storyline, and until we do, Peter must remain as he is. Here's the problem I see with your way of thinking, you see the characters as separate entities from the writing. But they are not, everything within the universe which makes up canon is controlled by the writers, and unless they make a sincerely screwed up call, it does not matter if a particular individual within cannon has the ability to buttrape every other character, so long as the writing is handled intelligently, it does not matter. As for your lions metaphor, the lion (Peter) does not leave the cage unless the door is opened by the big cat trainers (the writers) and they mess up. Which they have clearly shown they are capable of handling it, so it would not become a problem like you claim it would. Hardly, Telepathy is pretty strong, yeah. But as demonstrated in season one and three, its not infallible and has its weaknesses, and as I have stated previously, so long as the writing is handled well, having a uber ability is not carte blanch to God Mode. As for illusion, I don't know where you getting its some OP hax ability. Its plain just not, for that we'll just have to to agree to disagree. If you look above at one of my previous posts I specifically said I would not suggest nor condone giving Peter EM. So your point here is pretty much moot, that said I'll play along with you. 			******I recall Noah Gray-Cabey wasn't credited for Cold Snap (I guess to not reveal the identity of Rebel /at least the Rebel we got to know then/), yet he had an important role there. Of course, it _can_ be that Charlie was chronoported to an earlier date, making her much older than she should be, but I don't think Samuel told Arnold to take her to some time where she could meet the Hiro of that time, even by accident. Also, I think he knows better than to let her still be alive in the current timeline. It could become dangerous... It also looks like Sylar has Matt read his mind to show him he's changed, telling him that he knows what it takes to be a good person from being in Matt's head. 	I've seen a couple of ~~previes~~, I think Peter and Sylar will have an ally in Edgar given how worried he looks in a couple at Samuel's plans and it also looks like Emma may not have totally discounter Peter's dream as she brings it up with Sammy Boy and realizes that Peter was right by Samuel's reaction which is why Doyle is forced to control her so there maybe hope for some Peter and Emma in the future since she'll probably forgive him now that she knows he was right. It also looks like Sylar has Matt read his mind to show him he's changed, telling him that he knows what it takes to be a good person from being in Matt's head. 	Honestly? I love the whole idea. It sounds like every dystopic-future Heroes fanfic I've ever read, and with the quality of some of those, the writers would do well to take heed... wink* It would be similar to the dystopic futures from Volumes 1 and 3, but instead of being a vague threat that they have to prevent, it's a present reality. It would be an entirely different direction to take the Heroes in, and I think it would be an amazing angle for them to explore. (Incidentally, is there any particular reason you chose that title for the thread? Was it just convenient? 			******I recall Noah Gray-Cabey wasn't credited for Cold Snap (I guess to not reveal the identity of Rebel /at least the Rebel we got to know then/), yet he had an important role there. Of course, it _can_ be that Charlie was chronoported to an earlier date, making her much older than she should be, but I don't think Samuel told Arnold to take her to some time where she could meet the Hiro of that time, even by accident.
