Nobody is saying the character itself is bad, just the few snippits of him that we've seen on the istory doesnt give him enought coverage to show more character detail, you know? 2)Changing PM to pyrokinesis was probably the best thing you've done for your character, and it's true that mimics are almost inherently mary sue, you've managed to put limits on his powers in the form of self-imposed limitations on himself. In the end, I think your character is good, and that a few things should be cleared up about him because of what we've seen. I dont care to trudge through the giant clusterfuck of [[Talk:Phoenix Mimicry]], but I am still not sure why it's there if you decided to change it to pyrokinesis. Since the character is yours, the power is therefore yours as well, and you should be able to edit it as you please. If someone tells you you can't change it because it's already "locked in" to the istory canoon, tell them to go to hell and change it anyways. It takes a lot to change something you spent a great deal of time working on, and I think that's admirable of you for doing so in order to keep the Heroes Canon to a higher bar (even if stupid shit like spider mimicry has already weakend it somewhat). Peter, Sylar (Considering Sylar CANNOT DIE), and others are very Mary Sue along your guy's critiques, and they are my favorite characters in the show. So good for me! The one thing that has yet to be resolved however is the inherieting the power from his twin. If you look up Vanishing Twin or chimera, it is perfecting acceptable for a twin to be absorbed by the mother or other twin. In this case, Draph absorbed his twin and his ability. Pardon me for making it more mysterious and less graphic than I could have. "A vanishing twin is a fetus in a multi-gestation pregnancy which dies in utero and is then partially or completely reabsorbed by the mother or twin." Perfectly scientifically justified on my part. It just happened that an Ability came into play with Draph. And, Draph felt guilty for the simple reason that his power was not truely his. Draph's power was Claircognizance, so he used that. But since AR was acquired unjustly in his mind, he didn't want to be a part of it. A simple reason to feel guilty. And the events of Maria's death are unknown, so we don't know exactly what happened, but it is implied that if Draph used his other abilities, then things might have been different. But the reason phoenix mimicry is there is because of the whole mythology of the phoenix, overcoming and what not. <br> Here is the problem people have had with Draph, he is a complex character that burst onto the scene with almost no one reading his profile before bashing him. Peter, Sylar (Considering Sylar CANNOT DIE), and others are very Mary Sue along your guy's critiques, and they are my favorite characters in the show. So good for me! The one thing that has yet to be resolved however is the inherieting the power from his twin. If you look up Vanishing Twin or chimera, it is perfecting acceptable for a twin to be absorbed by the mother or other twin. In this case, Draph absorbed his twin and his ability. Pardon me for making it more mysterious and less graphic than I could have. "A vanishing twin is a fetus in a multi-gestation pregnancy which dies in utero and is then partially or completely reabsorbed by the mother or twin." Perfectly scientifically justified on my part. It just happened that an Ability came into play with Draph. And, Draph felt guilty for the simple reason that his power was not truely his. Draph's power was Claircognizance, so he used that. But since AR was acquired unjustly in his mind, he didn't want to be a part of it. A simple reason to feel guilty. And the events of Maria's death are unknown, so we don't know exactly what happened, but it is implied that if Draph used his other abilities, then things might have been different. If that is something you guys cannot understand, then your simple-mindedness is something I pity. 			*****You seem to be getting very defensive Draphoenix. Nobody is saying that the character of Draph is bad, it's just that some of what was shown about him (phoenix mimcry being a bunch powers, his base power being a form of omniscience, ect) was slightly weak in terms of storytelling. I think the chacter's backstory is very well put together, and I am impressed that the small changes you made to him have made it a much more appricable character in terms of the heroes universe. But I think there are a few things you must first realize. 1) People are not bashing your online game profile, just the part of him shown in the istory, without the rest of the character's biography to flesh out his background makes him look mary-sue, when if you look at the character as a whole he is really not. Nobody is saying the character itself is bad, just the few snippits of him that we've seen on the istory doesnt give him enought coverage to show more character detail, you know? 2)Changing PM to pyrokinesis was probably the best thing you've done for your character, and it's true that mimics are almost inherently mary sue, you've managed to put limits on his powers in the form of self-imposed limitations on himself. In the end, I think your character is good, and that a few things should be cleared up about him because of what we've seen. I dont care to trudge through the giant clusterfuck of [[Talk:Phoenix Mimicry]], but I am still not sure why it's there if you decided to change it to pyrokinesis. Since the character is yours, the power is therefore yours as well, and you should be able to edit it as you please. If someone tells you you can't change it because it's already "locked in" to the istory canoon, tell them to go to hell and change it anyways. It takes a lot to change something you spent a great deal of time working on, and I think that's admirable of you for doing so in order to keep the Heroes Canon to a higher bar (even if stupid shit like spider mimicry has already weakend it somewhat). Also, I had another quick question. As Draph is a professor, exactly how old is he?
