Powers mimicked
* Let's keep an eye on the section about powers he may not have conclusively mimicked, we dont want it to become another list of Sylar's theorized powers. :) If it generates debate let's just move that part of it to Theories so we don't have to worry about it. ** Yeah, I tried to keep it as confirmed as possible, and yet complete enough that it doesn't degenerate into a speculation fest. It's much easier to say "yes, we noted that, thank you" than delete the same thing a thousand times and say "that's already on the Theories page".--Hardvice (talk) 23:22, 6 December 2006 (EST)
** When viewing Peter stopping the tazer darts, I'm not sure it's stopping time - looks more like TK. If time were stopped, the tazer darts would not lose their inertia when time restarted, and would have continued on their way. It looks more like the same TK effect Sylar had on Mohinder's bullet. If it actually was TK and not time, there's still no conclusive evidence that Peter has mimicked Hiro's ability yet.--Joedu 13:57, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
It wasn't until he began to leave the hospital with Nathan that it overwhelmed him. ==Power Retention==
Not sure if this is mentioned elsewhere, but Tim Kring made a comment about Peter that seems to suggest that he doesn't just mimic the abilities of those he comes in contact with, but he actually gains them permanently. Apparently, this is one of the things that Claude will be doing - showing him how to access all the aquired abilities of his own will, rather than automatically. Until it comes up in the shows canon, I wouldn't go 100% on this, however, as things can and do change all the time. :) --Yoshie 09:40, 4 January 2007 (EST)
* Very nice. Once it appears in the show, it can go on the page. I'm most curious to know how Peter's power works, if indeed he does retail all of the abilities since we've been told that they come from genetic anomolies (thanks to Sylar). If Peter is gaining all of these abilities permanently, then his DNA (again, like Sylar) must be a mess. == Offensive power interference ==

There might be something to this: every time but one that someone has tried to affect Peter with a power, so far, it either fails or is blocked or otherwise doesn't work:
* Seeing through Claude's invisibility
* Ninja Hiro's time stop
* The telepathy feedback event
* (possibly) defending himself against the telekinesis attacks
The only exception is Nathan's flight, so far. Maybe in general a power cancels the same power out? Webrunner 13:49, 31 January 2007 (EST)
: I think it's axiomatic that when a person possesses an ability, that person cannot be directly harmed by it. Obviously, when Hiro stops time, he himself doesn't stop (that would be weird); when Claude is invisible, he can still see himself; Ted is not harmed by the radiation he uses to destroy other things; likewise with Mrs. Gordon's fire. So when these people use these powers around Peter, it's not that they don't work--in fact they clearly do in every case--it's just that Peter has the same power, and hence the same benefit of immunity that the original power wielder has.--E rowe 14:14, 31 January 2007 (EST)
Non-Mimicked Powers
I commented out the section about Peter's non-mimicked powers. Beside the fact that the section title is kind of odd, the whole thing is really speculation. I happen to like the list, but I'm just not sure we know enough about his mimicry to say that he has been "exposed" to these powers. I am well aware of the interviews that have stated he has these power, but as most know, that's not canon. I reworded some stuff so it would be less speculative (more about contacting other evolved humans, and less about being exposed to powers), but I still find the whole idea to be taking a big leap of faith, albeit with sound reasoning. Like I said, I personally like the list, but I just don't know if we have enough solid info to include it yet. I don't have a better solution, though, except to wait until we find out more about empathic mimicry. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:43, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
:I think re-wording it to be acceptible, is the best approach, rather than removing it completely. By simply listing the powers/people Peter has come into contact with that have not been mimicked, we are not showing Speculation. If we said, "There are Peter's yet-to-be manifested powers"; then that would be speculative.
:We know 100% without conjecture, that Peter has met those listed people who have those confirmed powers, and Peter has not mimicked any of them yet. Perhaps that is how we can keep the list, and once more is revealed later, reword it then if needed. It is a good list for Peter though, to be stated. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 04/5/2007 11:49 (EST)
::Really, listing the powers he has not yet demonstrated under his Powers section, no matter how factually the section is worded, is still speculation by association. I'm also not sure he really did come into contact with the Haitian's power, or was exposed to Eden's power. He met the people (brief as the contacts may have been), but I'm not sure he was exposed to the powers. Like I said, I personally agree with the theory that he takes on all powers he comes near, and I know the writers have basically confirmed the idea as well, but it hasn't been proven yet. I just don't think there's any harm in waiting until we get even an ounce more revealed about how Peter absorbs these powers. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:07, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
