The impression I got from their conversation was that all Future Sylar did was teach Peter how to use his ability; Sylar never used it, he simply told Peter how to use it. So logically, Peter gained the ability in ''[[Homecoming]]'' when he first met Sylar, if being exposed to him was all that was required (as opposed to Sylar displaying the ability, as most other people have done before Peter copies them). 			* I don't get the point of the template in the first place. The information is only included on [[Peter Petrelli]] and [[Peter vs. Sylar]] (which should take a backseat to other main namespace articles). It doesn't get automatically searched since it's in the template namespace, and it seems like it discourages newer editors from easily finding the information. As well, the info that's here is now static since Peter lost this ability and doesn't seem to be gaining [[empathic mimicry]] back anytime soon.
