Specifically, if I want to add a character to [[Portal:Minor1/Season One]], I have to adjust that page, nine others like it, and [[Template:PortalCharNav/Season One]]. I guess that's eleven changes. I think automation is good for portals. I prefer having some control over the navbars. Just because this template lists characters does not mean it's the same as a character portal.
