He [[Flight| flew]] back to his home in Rosehearty, only to find that his parents had moved away. Enraged, he accidentally [[Induced radioactivity| blew up]] Rosehearty. Grieving the loss of his friends, he went to Aberdeen. When there, he tried to [[Suicide| jump off a building]]. When he was about to hit the ground, his friend Bruno Alves [[Flight| flew]] in and saved him. They decided to work together to take down [[The Company]] and save their friend Craig Thom, who had been sent to Level 3 because of his [[Shattering| dangerous ability]].

When they infiltrated [[Primatech]], they broke into Level 3 to break Craig out. When they released him, he told them that their other friend Calum Dickson was locked up in Level 2. When they were about to break him out, [[Noah Bennet]] showed up and tried to subdue them. Bruno nearly killed him by [[Dehydration| dehydrating]] him. Noah shot Craig twice in the stomach. Just before Craig died, GJ healed him. Bennet was about to kill GJ, but Gary-James threw [[Pyrokinesis|a ball of fire]] at him, causing his suit to go on fire. Craig broke out Calum and the four boys escaped.
