Ultimately you can do whatever you'd like with your own talk page, but I thought I'd let you know what a lot of people do when they want to clean up their talk pages. Rather than deleting everything, you can archive the information by setting up an archive page. Just start a new page (call it "User talk:Cuardin/Archive" for instance) and you can put all your old stuff there. You can even put a link to the archive page on your talk page if you wanted.
