How do I do re-directs?
* That depends on what you want to redirect, and to what you want to redirect it.--Hardvice (talk) 14:17, 18 February 2007 (EST)
** Let's say someone types SED. What code or process do I have to do for it to redirect to the Haitian.
~ ~ ~ ~ Red = 14:32, 18 February 2007 (EST)
*** SED is already covered on Glossary. We redirect fan nicknames to that page, not to the articles. That way, there's an explanation.--Hardvice (talk) 14:45, 18 February 2007 (EST)
**** How were you able to redirect it to Glossary? before I would just get a blank search results.
~ ~ ~ ~ Red = 15:46, 18 February 2007 (EST)
* I noticed you made a reference to that in the article Wind chime. -- Cuardin 01:49, 2 February 2007 (EST)
** Yeah. On the NBC site, you can watch the last two episodes with side-by-side video commentary (though I'm guessing it's U.S.-only). It's been pretty insightful so far.--Hardvice (talk) 02:52, 2 February 2007 (EST)
*** I suppose no one is recording the commentaries for future reference? -- Cuardin 03:57, 2 February 2007 (EST)
**** I haven't had any luck stream-recording video from NBC yet, but I guess I could try recording just the audio or transcribing it by hand if I get the time. AFAIK, "Godsend" was the first episode with commentary (from Sendhil Ramamurthy, Jack Coleman, and Leonard Roberts). "The Fix" has commentary from Greg Grunberg and Hayden Panetierre, and then Greg and Natalie Chaidez.--Hardvice (talk) 04:19, 2 February 2007 (EST)
Interviews
Okay, I might be hebetudinous (just learned that word - it's a doozy, eh?), but could you just give me the breakdown on the interviews: where to add them, when to purge them, etc. Thanks! — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:15, 5 February 2007 (EST)
* Interviews and Template:Interviews is all there is. Right now, I'm keeping the last 10 misc. interviews on the template, just to keep it from getting too huge. There shouldn't be any more 9thWonders interviews, since they were promotional and before the show aired. There's only one CBR interview per episode, so we should be able to fit the whole season before we archive it. And who knows how many Wizard interviews there'll be ... we can burn that bridge and kill the engineer when we get to it. Hope that propels you from hebetudinousness to near-hebephrenia!--Hardvice (talk) 14:22, 5 February 2007 (EST)
* More to the point: I added everything to interviews 1) to make the page more useful, 2) so I could list dates, and 3) so I could say a little bit about the interview series. I made the "arcvhive" button on the template jump to the proper section, and if and wehn we archive any of the others, we can do the same.--Hardvice (talk) 14:24, 5 February 2007 (EST)
* The normal process, then, would be like this:
*# Add interview to subject's page
*# Add interview to Template:Interviews. Remove one if misc.
*# Add interview to Interviews--Hardvice (talk) 14:27, 5 February 2007 (EST)
****Now before I do this, one more point should be brought up. Someone said that 117 might be the episode on March 5th, and that 118 will be way out in April. Think that's gonna happen? If so, then Spoiler:Episode 118 is useless right now :P--Riddler 01:17, 7 February 2007 (EST)
***** I'm just going to remove the refs above and add the link to the Spoilers page in the general area. That episode is just too far in the future right now; without a title, or blurbs, or airdates, I feel too much could change for us to make an article at this time. --Orne 19:29, 7 February 2007 (EST)
* I don't see how any of Doop's edits qualify as vandalism. Most of the points he/she makes on the talk page seem pretty valid. Now that the link is labeled as containing spoilers, it does seem on-point. Claire punching Jackie does seem like it doesn't really belong in that paragraph. The only possible objection is the part about whether Claire would have known if Zach were gay, and that's really pure speculation. It definitely belongs in the article (the fact that it's speculation doesn't make it "redundant"), but it could be made clearer that it's speculation. I'm just not sure what you want me to do, or why. I'm not going to ban somebody for making edits they feel are justified, when they are providing a reason for doing so, just to please somebody else with a contrary opinion. I suggest you two sort it out yourselves.--Hardvice (talk) 20:49, 9 February 2007 (EST)
* My personal recommendation would be to leave the first paragraph and delete the rest. Everything that needs to be said about the controversy itself is said in the first paragraph. The conversy is that, according to the writers, they intended for the character to be gay and subsequently changed the character (reportedly at the request of Mr. Dekker's management). The rest seems to be opinions on whether he was originally meant to be gay or not, but this is already explained by the first paragraph. The opinions are causing contention akin to whether a particular Theory is valid or not so in the interests of remaining objective I'd opt to remove the subsequent paragraphs entirely. (Admin 20:51, 9 February 2007 (EST))
** That sounds pretty reasonable. I'll change it now.--Hardvice (talk) 20:55, 9 February 2007 (EST)
**** Actually, in spite of the fact that I actually rather like the character (gay or straight), I can't wait until Zach leaves the show. When they showed Nathan was Claire's dad, my reaction was "ONE DOWN, ONE TO GO".--Hardvice (talk) 21:10, 9 February 2007 (EST)
***** My theory is that it will be revealed that Zach and Claire are half-brother/half-sister. Nathan will be the father of both of them and Zach's mother will be Mr. Linderman's plate of waffles. Just you wait and see. (Admin 21:15, 9 February 2007 (EST))
**** That, and I'm pleased to note that had we merely followed our own rule and removed all speculation one way or the other to begin with, there would have been no edit war at all.--Hardvice (talk) 21:13, 9 February 2007 (EST)
So I took this big test today, and it talked about Hybrid Electric Vehicles, but it kept referring to them as HEV's, as in "HEV's ues both gas and electric power." Shouldn't it be HEVs? And then (the nerve!), they did the same thing with 1700's, as in "America in the 1700's was a fascinating time." Again, shouldn't it be 1700s, is it accepted both ways, or am I just crazy? (Don't answer that)... — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:50, 10 February 2007 (EST)
* Yes, the apostrophe is incorrect (but extremely common). You do use an apostrophe when the abbreviation or acronym uses internal punctuation (Ph.D.'s, for example), so that's probably the culprit. Another common problem: abbreviations and acronyms always take an "s" to become plural, even when they end in a non-s syballant (PXs, not PXes). And stylistically, an acronym only takes internal periods when it would otherwise be confused with a word (H.A.L.O.) or when more than one letter represents a single word (Ph.D.) Acronyms ending in "s" take an apostrophe (SOS's), as do lower-case letters of the alphabet used as letter (cross your t's, mind your Ps and Qs)--Hardvice (talk) 21:54, 10 February 2007 (EST)
Liquefaction may refer to:

* Soil liquefaction, the process by which sediments are converted into suspension, as in earthquake liquefaction, quicksand, quick clay, and turbidity currents
* Liquefaction of gases in physics, chemistry, and thermal engineering
*** I'm glad it's not just me. I said that in the talk page last night (and posted a picture), but the general consensus seems to be that they're liquid. My biggest objection to either liquefaction or liquification is that they just don't seem to stay liquid for very long. Hi,
You guys have THE most amazing Heroes website!

I'm a huge fan and thought you might want to know about a fan produced video show/parody on YouTube based on Heroes that I'm creating (4 episodes are up already). It's called Incidental Heroes ( http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=IncidentalHeroes ) and chronicles the experiences of Mackenzie who seems to be crossing between reality and the TV show. Mackenzie has the power to see dead people and dead people from the Heroes TV show in particular. Chandra visits her in the first episode and that's what starts her on her adventure.

Incidental Heroes has been picking up some steam with Heroe fans and has been mentioned in a bunch of entertainment blogs.

I thought you might like to know about it and that it would be a great addition to your Fan Creations section.

Thanks a lot!!!
