			* Hey, there Harrypotter1994. I saw your comment on [[User:Admin\|Admin]]'s talk page, and I wanted to give you a bit of a breakdown. The information is all at [[Heroes Wiki talk:Community Portal#About characters?]], but I know that discussion can be a bit of a beast to read. The decision in a nutshell goes like this: there were no definitions for what constitutes a supporting and a recurring character, so people would edit back and forth. There's also no need for both categories, especially if we're "ranking" one above the other. So instead we're just going by the amount of [[appearances]] the character makes. Anything more than a certain number means they're a recurring character ("supporting" is a loaded word, so we chose "recurring" over "supporting"), and anything less means they're a minor character. NBC determines who is a main character. The actor portals mirror this new structure, but the main, recurring, and guest characters correspond respectively to principal, supporting, and guest cast, all words that are more appropriate for actors than for characters.
