re: need my own sandbox

Yesterday, I created a page in the [[Heroes Wiki:Sandbox]], and made a personal subpage out of it using the move tool. I probably bunged up the sandbox in the process, though, and I dont want to do that again when I need to do something like that again. I don't know how else to create a personal subpage. so can I get a sandbox of my own to use for that purpose and a link to said creation in my main userpage, please? thanks!--[[User:SacValleyDweller|SacValleyDweller]] 19:26, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
* Okay, I created a sandbox for you. The link is [[User:SacValleyDweller/Sandbox]]. Don't worry about bunging up the site sandbox, I took care of it for you. I moved it back so it would preserve the history (there's things I've done in there way back when that I like to go back and check every once in awhile). I then recreated the dubious canon page you made--the link is [[User:SacValleyDweller/Non or Dubious Canon‎]]. By the way, in the future, if you ever want to create a subpage for yourself, it's pretty simple. Just type in the name you want for the page (User:SacValleyDweller/Example, for instance) into the search bar, hit "go", then click the red link. Or, you can create a red link on your userpage, click the red link, then start editing away. If you ever need help, don't hesitate to ask. :) -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 19:36, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
== Re : You dont watch Heroes anymore? ==
*I'm just double checking what you want to say in your userpage, since English isn't your native language. Your usage of the term "Used to Watch" leads me to believe that you don't watch Heroes, or the other shows in the list, anymore because you dont like it, or some other reason other than that you are waiting for Season 2 to air. I used to watch [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_simpsons The Simpsons], but I don't now because I no longer like the show. I watch Heroes, but I am not watching it because I am waiting for Season 2 to air. ([[User:SacValleyDweller|SacValleyDweller]] 16:18, 3 September 2007 (EDT))
**No, that's probably a misstake of mine.. My userpage is outdated, I mean, my english is supposed to be better know hehe, so I probably should rewrite the entire page.. I actually continue to follow ''Heroes'' just like you all, I'm waiting for season two to begin. :] ps : I still love the simpsons :) --{{User:FrenchFlo/sig}} 16:59, 3 September 2007 (EDT)
==Old News: A suggestion on bettering my user page==
* Hi! Here's a tip. Might want to blurb or box the help on your userpage so that it fits nicer.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 22:41, 27 August 2007 (EDT)
** I think Miami might be talking about doing something like this: <nowiki>{{blurb}}{{helpbox}}{{blurbclose}}</nowiki>. It would put a blurb around the helpbox, causing it to be left-aligned instead of right-. Try it on your page, preview it, and see if you like it. It's not my favorite, but at least it takes care of the layout. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 01:48, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
***Thanks, now how do I stick the text in that section next to the left aligned help box. [[User:SacValleyDweller|SacValleyDweller]] 01:52, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
****Without changing [[template:helpbox]] itself, the only way I can think of making something float is if it's an image. Give me a minute, let me see what I can work out. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 01:56, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
*****Okay, a pretty simple template adjustment. Try this: <nowiki>{{helpbox|left=true}}</nowiki> (and you can take out all the blurb stuff). -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 02:00, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
******Doesnt seem to be working--[[User:SacValleyDweller|SacValleyDweller]] 02:07, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
********* Okay, got it. Just had to take some time to add some extra table code and pad the margins. Take a look at the left and see if that's what you're looking for. If so, here's the code for it: <nowiki>{{helpbox|left=true}}</nowiki>. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 17:01, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
Why not just add a note, instead of totaling removing him? "Unaired canon" is kinda tricky ground, but its probably better to keep him with a note, than to totally remove him. --[[User:HiroDynoSlayer|HiroDynoSlayer]] 19:41, November 3, 2007
== Sig ==
For your sig, I actually got help from Ryan. Go [[User talk:Baldbobbo/sig|here]] for the code I used. Just substitute the colors, and you can fool around with the bold text and what not. I reduced the padding so it doesn't take up all the space a blurb uses. Hope that helps.--{{User:Baldbobbo/sig}} 03:02, 4 November 2007 (EST)
** SacValleyDweller, your signature is a bit big in terms of height. Hey, now your sig is showing up as like 10 lines in diff's. Ouch... check out the addition I made to [[Help:Signatures#Extended formatting for signatures]]. It tells you how to use an "autosig" to shrink that back to just a single-line template call. It is supposed to override the generic book image in the back (with an image of the eclipse), but it doesn't work properly for me... ---- [[Image:Ohmyn0.jpg]][[Image:Ohmyn0talk.jpg]] 22:12, 19 February 2008 (EST)
== Archiving Instructions ==

Hey, SVD. I'm wasn't sure if you wanted full-blown instructions on your user page, if you wanted a link, or what. In any case, I wrote some instructions [[User talk:Ryangibsonstewart/Archive 11#Archiving|at this link]] awhile ago. Feel free to use what you need from it. The trick is basically to open a new subpage, say {{nowantedlink|User talk:SacValleyDweller/Archive 1|red=t}}, then just cut and paste everything you want from your talk page to your archive page. Don't forget to add {{[[template:archivepage|archivepage]]}} to the top of the page. It's also a good idea to have a link somewhere on your talk page to the archive page. I use a [[template:blurb|blurb]], but others might use a table or just a link at the top. It's really your preference. That should be just about everything you need to get you started, but let me know if you need more assistance. :) -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 07:53, 21 February 2008 (EST)
== Language bias ==

I read your comment on FrenchFlo's talk page and thought I'd leave some info for you. I've heard the same stories about French bias against non-native speakers speaking French. Due to Haitian immigration to South Florida, French/Creole is the third most popular language in my area after English and Spanish. However, I find native Spanish speakers in South Florida to be more non-accepting of Spanish errors than native French speakers here are of French errors (and my French is extremely limited), so it's not necessarily just a "French" thing. That said, it's true that the French speakers of France are notorious for being very picky about their language.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 05:42, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
== About the French thing... ==

Mhh.. I don't really know, I live in South of France and I never have been confronted to this kind of behaviour... But I can imagine that it may be true with some people of us, especially in Paris. I don't know.. Maybe it's a legend.. French are supposed to be rude I think :) --{{User:FrenchFlo/sig}} 09:44, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
