The man steps out from his partner and stands behind her in his underwear, with all his own limbs. A short while later, the [[ringmaster]] informs Anna that the government is coming for everyone but himself, and the woman who was was sharing clothes steps back into her partner that is standing behind her such that their shoulders pass through each other. Some time later, the body sharing man and woman huddle with Anna and the other circus performers in the dark. They and everyone else freeze as they spot lots of people moving around quietly outside.

			In [[The Agent chapter summaries#Chapter 410\|chapter 10 of The Agent]], the body sharing man, Anna, and the other circus staff hide in a cellar underneath the circus while agents search above them. Anna notes that he and his [[body sharing woman\|circus partner]] are pretend-Siamese twins for their act. She also notes that they don't talk, that sometimes they move at the same time, and that the man's expression is like a little, sleepy kid. [[Linda Niles]] refers to Victor as Valerie's maybe-brother, maybe-ghost, and notes that they are the W in [[LAWR]] (V + V = W). When Valerie demonstrates [[shifting\|her and her brother's power]] to Anna, she touches Anna's shoulder. Anna is then transported across the room, with Victor touching Anna's shoulder. When Anna jumps away in shock, Victor just stares at her. Linda explains to Anna that Valerie and Victor can transfer anything up to person-size, and that if one of them has something, the other can obtain it. She adds that she has seen them pass a whole family from Pennsylvania to California in thirty seconds, but that they get kind of irritable when they are apart for too long.
