Nick Hayden discovers his ability when he opens an article about [[New York]] on Wikipedia and [[space-time manipulation|appears]] there. Finding an [[exploding man]], a [[9th Wonders!|comic]] and the [[explosion]] leads Nick on a journey with his friend, Tom, who now believes that Nick has a special power. They travel to America. |

Escaping through Japan, they are surrounded by bandits, whom they escape from, only for Ryoko to abandon him out of fear. Eventually, he realises that [[Hiro Nakamura|Hiro]] has, once again, beaten him to the quest, and teleports out of the past, returning to the present at [[New Orleans, LA]]. |
