Before losing consciousness, both used their natural abilties unwillingly, and with Faye's being [[power absorption]] it appeared that Liam had been stripped of his abilities. However, it was later found that he had [[ability replication|replicated]] her ability a split second before she used hers- nullifying the absorption. |
