Tiger Mitchell Polan was born October 12th to Michael and Isabella Polan (nee Coleson), the only child. Tiger enjoyed his only child status, seeing as he never had to share anything or bother with bossy older siblings. He grew up as quite a sarcastic and cocky kid, actually finding himself bossing others (mostly smaller students) around at school. He wasn't exactly a bully but he wasn't much of a nice kid either.
At the age of 14, Tiger saw his father die in front of his eyes from a deadly stroke. After that, Tiger became even more so bully-like towards everyone in general. Almost a year later, his mother remarried to Robert Thomas, angering Tiger much. He was frustrated as to why his mother decided to remarry so quickly as his father had died only 9 months ago. Not even a year, Tiger thought. Along with his now step-father, there was also Katherine, his new step-sister.
Tiger didn't really like Katherine at all. He could make such a long list of reasons why. But it only had one main reason from which the other reasons branched. She was so nice and cheery. Katherine would always be the polar opposite from Tiger and protect the same students that Tiger bullied just to get on his nerves.
When Tiger turned 17, he found quite a surprise in store for him. He was just a tad bit happy ("17 + driver's license = total freedom!" according to Tiger's own words) and was pretending to make a wish, which never really worked, obviously. Katherine, getting impatient at Tiger, brought her hand up to smack him senseless. In self-defense, Tiger swung his arms up to protect himself. A gust of wind (from out of literally nowhere) swept through the room, blew out the candles ("Less work for me." Tiger remarked afterward), and made Katherine stumble to the ground.
Experimenting more with his newly-discovered power, Tiger found that with some practice and control, he could direct gusts of air to be very offensive. He currently resides in Chicago, Illinois and attends Bay High School.

Notes
- Tiger is the first character ever seen on Heroes: Dead or Alive.
- He is also the first (and only) male character in the series who has a constant undecided alignment (hero/villain).
- He is an artist and coincidentally, his actor (Josh Hutcherson) played an artsy kid on Bridge to Terabithia.
