Nue

Nue is a mythical beast of Japanese origin, consisting of the head of a monkey, the body of a raccoon dog, the legs of a tiger, and a snake instead of a tail.

About

How to Stop an Exploding Man

After the Peter explodes, a pool of blood that was left by Sylar is seen. The pool strongly resembles a Nue - a Japanese mythical creature. There is a myth that Miyamoto Musashi, the man that Takezo Kensei was based upon, killed a giant Nue - this is an analogy, as Hiro Nakamura, who looks up to Kensei, stabbed Sylar, leaving the oddly shaped pool of blood.
