*It comes with the four tildes <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>, 3 tildes = signature only, 4 = sign+timestamp. In fact Ryan uses a trick to sign with a personnal signature (which mean the signature has a source code) without polluating pages with this code. You have to create your signature template on a page ([[User:FrenchFlo/sig|/sig]]) and create an auto-sig page ([[User:FrenchFlo/autosig|/autosig]]) that just use the signature template. Then you add your autosig page into your preference using the SUBST function and when you'll sign using the button, it will add your signature but not the source code, only the <nowiki>{{url}}</nowiki> of your signature page. How do you get the time to show when you add your sig? --Hero!(talk)(contribs)

  • It comes with the four tildes ~~~~, 3 tildes = signature only, 4 = sign+timestamp. In fact Ryan uses a trick to sign with a personnal signature (which mean the signature has a source code) without polluating pages with this code. You have to create your signature template on a page (/sig) and create an auto-sig page (/autosig) that just use the signature template. Then you add your autosig page into your preference using the SUBST function and when you'll sign using the button, it will add your signature but not the source code, only the {{url}} of your signature page. I think I'm not as clear as it is in my head hehe! --  (talk) 02:05, 4 June 2007 (EDT)
