When D.L. Hawkins and his son Micah are on the road fleeing from Jessica, D.L. helps to rescue a woman in a car crash.
Character History
Nothing to Hide
While driving through rural Utah, D.L. Hawkins and his son Micah come across a nasty car crash. One driver is standing next to his car, dazed, and the other car is on fire. D.L. runs up to the burning car, and sees an unresponsive woman trapped inside the locked car.
As fire threatens to explode the car, D.L. phases his arm through the window and unlocks the door from the inside. He pulls out the trapped woman, but as he does, the gas ignites and there's an explosion and flying debris. Hiro stops time just as the ball of flame is about to hit D.L. and the woman. Hiro, wishing he could have super strength too, starts to push D.L. and the woman out of the way of the blast.
The car explodes; D.L., the injured woman, and the other driver are all safe on the side of the road next to an out-of-breath Hiro. D.L. mentions they should take the injured woman to a hospital and Ando tells him that he already called the police. Micah points out that D.L. saved the victim like a real hero.
