About
Created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka in 1986, The Legend of Zelda is a series of fantasy action-adventure video-games released for the Nintendo game consoles. The games generally take place in the fictional world of Hyrule and involve a mixture of exploration, action, puzzle and combat. Often well received, the games have enjoyed tremendous success.
The main characters are Link, the hero and protagonist, Ganon (also known as Ganondorf), the recurring villain who wishes to take over Hyrule, and Zelda, the princess of Hyrule who is frequently kidnapped by Gannon.
