Yanno, from the description of Nana's situation (they were strapped for cash, so she moved back into her old house that got flooded), she must have had a lot of renovation done. Flooding that high would have left mold in the walls (needing to be replaced), she has new carpeting and tiles, and that fridge is probably new too (my family had to replace theirs from how bad it smelled, and we didn't even have flooding). --<font color=#0F004D>Bob</font> 14:05, 20 October 2007 (EDT)

* Did your family's fridge smell bad because the power was out for so long, or was it just because there was so much garbage in the city? -- 14:08, 20 October 2007 (EDT)

**Power. My mini-fridge at Tulane was thrown out by the school, and I only had a thing of baking soda and bottles of water because I knew how bad it would have smelled with the power off that long. When my dad and I went back on Labor Day to get some things, I accidentally opened the fridge without thinking and it was awful. That was about a week after the power went out. I can only imagine how bad it was once they got back about a month later.--<font color=#0F004D>Bob</font> 14:10, 20 October 2007 (EDT)

    • Power. I can only imagine how bad it was once they got back about a month later.--Bob (talk) 14:10, 20 October 2007 (EDT)
