About
Better Halves
In Isaac's studio, Peter notices that some of Isaac's paintings fit together like a comic book story, but with a missing panel. Isaac tells Peter that Simone took a matching piece to her gallery.
Nothing to Hide
When asked, Simone tells Peter that Mr. Linderman bought the missing painting. Peter asks Nathan to call Linderman in order to retrieve the painting. Linderman sends the painting to Simone's gallery.
Homecoming
In the gallery, Nathan opens the painting. Simone tells Nathan that Peter believes Isaac can paint the future. Simone confirms that it's the only copy. In an attempt to save his brother from the death depicted in the painting, Nathan splashes a bucket of black paint over the painting. Simone protests, but is unable to stop him. Later, Peter arrives at the gallery, and Simone shows Peter the ruined painting, as well as a photograph taken prior to the vandalism.
Notes
In the graphic novel Isaac's First Time, Eden asks Isaac to remember the first time he painted the future. He recalls the first show of his paintings, organized by Simone. While at the gallery, he is confronted by a woman whom he has painted being hit by a bus. She promptly flees and, as Isaac chases her, is hit by a bus right in front of the gallery (exactly as the painting depicted).
