In Heroes, storylines often end on a cliffhanger.

Hiro and Ando have teleported to the future, where the explosion has wiped out New York.
Claire meets Angela Petrelli, who is revealed to be working with the Haitian.
Noah informs his wife of his plan to take down the Company, only for him to discover she is an illusion, created by Candice.
Linderman tells Nathan that he will be in the White House, on the verge of becoming president, in two years time.
Sylar telekinetically begins to slice Peter's forehead open, while Mohinder is stuck to the wall.
