On January 7, 2012, Laura greets Claire Petrelli as she is about to leave the cruise ship they have been travelling on. As Claire approaches the gangway to disembark from the ship, Laura tells Claire, whom she knows as "Alice Shaw", that it has been a pleasure having her on board and that she hopes she will travel with them again. Claire thanks Laura, who also tells Claire that her baggage is in Section D. Claire tells Laura that "This was certainly nicer than the last time I travelled by boat".
