Austin's mother lies in her bed, dying of liver cancer. Her organs are shutting down one by one. Austin holds her hand, and her husband sits nearby, watching vigil. Suddenly, she wakes up, healed from Austin's touch. When Austin explains that he was responsible for her miraculous recovery, not God, Austin's mother and father look at Austin with fear.
