Fictional?
I'm not so sure this is fictional. On the Season 2 spoiler talk page, HiroDinoSlayer said, "The spoiler says it is a fictional place. However, there is a Costa Verde, CA; a small area in the 92122 zipcode area of San Deigo, of which Costa Verde Blvd runs through. I think there is also a Costa Verde beach (esp playa de Costa Verde) in Southern CA." However, according to Google Earth, the area that Costa Verde Blvd runs through is called University City. - Right, I was confused by the same thing. My best source is my grandmother *chuckle chuckle* who used to live in San Diego. She said there are sections of where she used to live that are called Costa Verde (kind of like SoHo or Greenwich Village are sections of New York City), but that she didn't know any cities called Costa Verde in Southern California. She could be wrong, but I have yet to see a city called such. So far it's just as you said: streets, areas, and beaches.
