Republicans Phil Pennington and Nathan Petrelli defeat Democrats Barack Obama and Joe Biden to become President and Vice President. President Charles Peterson retires after serving two terms.

2009

January 20, 2009

Phil Pennington is inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States.

2010

December 11, 2010

President Pennington dies of a stroke. Nathan Petrelli is immediately inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States.

2011

April 24, 2011

President Petrelli is murdered by Sylar. Using the ability of Illusion, Sylar impersonates President Petrelli.

November 7, 2011

A Hiro and Ando from an alternate timeline arrive in this timeline.

November 8, 2011

After a battle between Future Hiro, Peter Petrelli and Homeland Security, Sylar is forced to reveal himself. As President, he is replaced by Vice President Tom DeLancey. DeLancey makes a deal with Peter, promising evolved humans freedom if they hunt down Sylar.
