- Matthew will have the power of cloning. That is why he will be portrayed by two actors.
- It is common practice to have babies portrayed by two actors due to work limits laws and such to my knowledge.
- Matthew will have the power of induced radioactivity and be the source of the explosion.
- Matthew will have the power to give powers to people. This is how Hiro regains his ability or something similar.
- Ando will accidentally supercharge baby Matt and he will give powers, such as induced radioactivity, to everyone in the city,which will be the cause of the explosion
