Theory talk:Vault
ACME Tech
I can't remember where the name came from ( I think an RPG ), but a somewhat common element in 'realistic' superhuman settings is objects and devices that have functions and powers beyond the norm. They are not actual technology, advanced or otherwise, however. Rather, they do something extraordinary because someone's superhuman power made it able to do so.
A common form of this is the 'mad scientist' who makes impossible devices, which may not even work for anyone but him, and even if they do, cannot be reverse engineered. This is because the creator either imbued them with functionality via his powers, or used the device as a psychological crutch for himself.
Now, as of yet, there is no evidence for 'ACME Tech' existing in the Heroes universe. However, if such does exist, well, a logical place for it to end up would be this vault, now wouldn't it. Especially if 'ACME tech' separated from its creator was prone to unpredictability. --Metaphysician 17:31, 9 October 2008 (EDT)
