Character History
Graphic Novel:Monsters
In Madras, India, 1982, the young Mohinder Suresh listens to stories his grandmother tells him. She describes the Hindu Goddess Kali and her temptations to kill mankind. As Mohinder envisions a monstrous, multi-armed woman beheading humans, Mohinder's grandmother explains that the devoted shall be saved. Chandra Suresh, a man of science, not religion, refutes these stories. Mohinder believes his father's words above his grandmother's.
