The black-haired jock is a friend of Crash's and teammate on their high school's football team.
Character History
Graphic Novel:Betty, Part 2
The day after Betty's illusion drives Crash to insanity, the redhead and black-haired cheerleaders meet one of Crash's buddies, the black-haired jock, in the high school parking lot. The girls ask the jock if he and the other players heard about what happened to Crash. He confirms that they have, and that he is confused about how Crash could have changed so quickly from the time they left him in the locker room.
Later, the black-haired jock meets with the other athletes in the boy's locker room. After hearing from them the rumor that it was Ren who caused Crash to go crazy, he tells them that Crash was one of them and that it's payback time.
Graphic Novel:Betty, Part 3
Crash's friends surround Ren in the woods and beat him up. The black-haired jock takes particular pleasure in seeing the guilt on Ren's face.
Graphic Novel:Betty, Part 4
The black-haired jock is talking with the redhead, black-haired, brown-haired, and pig-tailed cheerleaders. The redhead cheerleader notes that what happened with Ren looks bad. The black-haired jock replies that it was just payback. He admits to them that he was involved in what happened to Ren, but blames Ren for his own fall down the hill and subsequent death. The redhead cheerleader tells the black-haired jock to remember his priorities, forget about what happened, and accompany her to the Homecoming pep rally.
A high school administrator convenes the pep rally and the cheer squad begins to rally. Betty creates mass illusions that terrorize the students in scattering and frighten the faculty scared stiff. After the illusions fade, the students and faculty are still in shock from what happened.
