Christopher Eccleston is the British film and television actor who portrays Claude Rains.
About
Born in 1964, Eccleston reached international stardom as the "Ninth Doctor" in Doctor Who in March 2005, even though he only played the role for a single season. He has appeared in numerous other films, including Amelia, 28 Days Later, Elizabeth, Thor: The Dark World, and Shallow Grave; other notable television work includes The Second Coming and Cracker. He most recently portrayed "Destro" in the recent G.I. Joe movie.
Christopher appeared with Malcolm McDowell in Our Friends in the North, with Zachary Levi in Thor: The Dark World, and with Jesse Corti in Gone in Sixty Seconds. Eric Roberts played the Doctor's arch nemesis, "The Master", in the 1996 Doctor Who television movie.
Trivia
- The producers of Heroes offered Christopher Eccleston two different roles, Sylar and Claude. Christopher declined the role of Sylar because he thought it was a cliché for European actors to play villains in American culture.
