I have some thoughts about the next episode. Where do I write these theories?

  • Yeah, where did the spoielr pages go?--NiveKJ13 (talk2me) 17:50, 24 February 2009 (EST)
    • Hmm.. Who changed this? I have quite a few theories ready to go.--Steelymcbeam 08:02, 25 February 2009 (EST)
      • Somebody had blanked Template:Spoiler. I'm assuming it was accidental, and that they were trying to remove a spoiler they believed shouldn't have been there. No worries. It's restored and the world is once again at peace. Place your Exposed theories (not your exposed theories) at Spoiler:Exposed#Fan Theories. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:13, 25 February 2009 (EST)

Peter Plays Tag

Could get old and silly. I'm guessing he's going to Tag Nathan and make off before the end of the episode. -- Dumpster Juice

    • Nice guess. XD Bloodbath 22:04, 2 March 2009 (EST)
      • That was ridiculous. They tried to make it suspenseful but they failed miserably. I saw it coming from a mile away. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 22:08, 2 March 2009 (EST)

Rachel?

Is the hot chick who was looking for Alex and searching the Bennet house Rachel? Bloodbath 21:50, 2 March 2009 (EST)

Sure is. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 21:55, 2 March 2009 (EST)
Yeah, they changed her hairstyle. I think it resembles more how she looked on Summerland and it does make her look hotter. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:00, 2 March 2009 (EST)
She's always hot. Bloodbath 01:00, 3 March 2009 (EST)

What?

peter got shot, fell down and then flew. But in the next scene he needs to "borrow" Nathan's ability again. Did i miss something ir what? personally, I am getting fed up with this power. And I think the writers are playing fast and loose with it. --Peter 22:06, 2 March 2009 (EST)

I thought it was apparent that Nathan was the one who flew him out of there. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 22:06, 2 March 2009 (EST)
  • Nathan flew him away...he knew what Danko was up to and went there to stop it--Anthony Gooch 22:07, 2 March 2009 (EST)
    • Lol, looks like you beat me to the punch line TM--Anthony Gooch 22:08, 2 March 2009 (EST)
      • Yeh. Well, I was actually hoping that Peter would... you know, die. I knew it wasn't going to happen but it would change up the show a bit. They need to kill off one of the season one characters soon enough. By the way, he looked like he was totally shot right in the heart... is that just me? Or am I confusing his heart for his shoulder? -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 22:10, 2 March 2009 (EST)
        • I thought heart too...but what do we know we arent hospice nurses or clever writers, which means we can't tell the difference b/w your heart and a grazed shoulder, lol--Anthony Gooch 22:12, 2 March 2009 (EST)
          • I imagine the bullet to the chest hit a bullet-proof vest Peter took from Noah's container, and that it was another shot we didn't see that got his arm.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:57, 2 March 2009 (EST)
    • I thought it was Peter, and I was really excited, but then I saw Nathan... and duh!--Themd 10:40, 3 March 2009 (EST)
      • Looked like his shoulder to me. Could've been his bulletproof vest deflected the bullet so that it grazed his arm. A shot to the vest would explain him falling over the wall. I'm sure that wasn't on purpose, he didn't know his brother was ready to catch him, unless he heard his thoughts. Hmm.--Mistyjo 11:28, 3 March 2009 (EST)
        • I'm re-watching the clip, and it definitely looks just below the shoulder blades but not close enough to the heart. -- Bonchilla 10:12, 4 March 2009 (EST)

Best. Episode. Ever.

Is it just me or was this episode exceptionally great... theres a few things that i'd like to point out, so tell me whether they're crazy or possible:

  • Sylar's dad having TK....could this be the reason that TK stayed in Sylars DNA when he lost his powers and the reason the company saw it when they had him way back in S1..and the writers are answering our question
  • Rebel...Micah?...i thought the little reference that Momma Petrelli made sold it "I'm not good with computers"
  • Sandra Bennet = Total badass!
  • lol, they finally gave Lyle lines this season

--Anthony Gooch 22:06, 2 March 2009 (EST)

You forgot a surprise visit from our favorite creepy man. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 22:07, 2 March 2009 (EST)
Extremly creepy man!--Anthony Gooch 22:10, 2 March 2009 (EST)
Surprise visit? But he was listed as a guest star!--Cosmic AC 07:57, 3 March 2009 (EST)
I try not to read the opening credits as they tend to ruin things for me... -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 21:11, 3 March 2009 (EST)

and another thing?

  • Was Sylar using his sheer memory, his intuitive apt., or clairsistance to look into the past?--Anthony Gooch 22:16, 2 March 2009 (EST)
    • A mix of the three. It might have been his memory that reminded him of the diner. It could have been clairsentience. Going in and touching the place might have stimulated his neurons enough to bring back the old memories, or it might have been clairsentience. But when he touches the racecar, you hear his clocks ticking. So I think clairsentience guided him and he uncovered the memories from his own mind (I don't think clairsentience by itself could recount what happened that day).
    • Pretty sure he was just uncovering long lost memories. I'm sure seeing the diner was an effective enough stimulus. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 22:18, 2 March 2009 (EST)
      • Oh and does any one else feel an epic TK showdown next week between Samson and son?...(lol, i couldn't resist)--Anthony Gooch 22:43, 2 March 2009 (EST)
        • It was so good! Who ever wrote it knew how to balance the story lines very well. The dialog was good to, I think this is the first time I saw Claire act like the Claire from seasons one and two. Not to mention the Sylar parts were amazing. The Peter and Matt against Building 26 showdown rocked. I hope the show stays in this direction!--Cairoi 23:01, 2 March 2009 (EST)
          • Yeah, Angela's line "I'm not good with computers" really makes it sounds as though Micah is involved. It was a great episode, and the preview for next week looks cool too.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:59, 2 March 2009 (EST)
            • There was a past BTE (maybe two weeks ago?) that promised Sylar would use clairsentience again. I'm not sure this was it, but it certainly could be. I'll see if I can find the link later. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:46, 3 March 2009 (EST)
  • It was a great episode, one of my favorites for sure. Bloodbath 01:01, 3 March 2009 (EST)
    • I liked the awkward scene with Alex and Claire having to explain to Sandra why he was staying in the closet. And seeing how Doyle is going to interact with everyone will be interesting.--Piemanmoo 02:07, 3 March 2009 (EST)
      • Loved the fact that Claire would rather say she was hiding a boy because they were having sex than because he's being hunted by the government. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:00, 3 March 2009 (EST)
  • No wonder Sylar slices his victims' heads open like that - it must have been ingrained in his subconcious from all those years ago. Loved his flashbacks also. Rebel HAS to be Micah like I orginially thought, he is hacking into all the computers, is able to shut the power off in Building 26, knows where all the agents are... can't wait to actually see him again! I also loved the Claire and Alex scenes... I hope he isn't gone from the show for good (does anyone know if he's gonna be back at all?). All things considered, I thought this episode was fantastic. --JessicaHeartsMatt 09:44, 3 March 2009 (EST)

    • I think Rebel could be Micah and Molly working together. How else would Rebel know where people were? Well, besides the cameras that are everywhere. It would be cool to have to two kids end up saving everyone, a great twist. --Mistyjo 11:08, 3 March 2009 (EST)
      • Since they (writers) seem to have a personal vendetta against Drucker and Hana, Micah seems the most likely candidate. Molly was cute, I don't think it would be good for the character to be hanging around right now. (unless Hiro and Ando pay her a visit?) Llddz 18:26, 3 March 2009 (EST)
This episode was SO much better than last week. Armus and Foster are my favorite writers in this series. They didn't rehash anything! The one time when Claire was telling her mom about Alex, which we already knew about, they made it interesting! They had the same budget cuts and still managed to make a great show. Sylar's back story keeps getting better and Milo did a great job on the rooftop. --Mistyjo 11:08, 3 March 2009 (EST)
Decent episode. Luke was getting terribly annoying. I thought he was neat at first but when it showed that he was just "along for the ride"... which I felt even before Sylar said that himself directly. I liked how Matt and Peter were fuckin' shit up. I wanted to stand up and clap when he MC'd (WoW ref) the two guards. Danko pisses me off. Nathan pissed me off. Though, I have a theory that Nathan might end up being with the good guys again and Danko taking the reigns. Also, Sandra is full of win.--anguard 11:40, 3 March 2009 (EST)
  • This episode was really one of the best!--Alen (talk) 12:10, 3 March 2009 (EST)

Lead image

I'm actually drawing a blank for this one. Maybe Danko juxtaposed with the television screen showing the footage that Peter leaked to the news? -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 22:33, 2 March 2009 (EST)

I do like that one, what about
  • the reporter on capitol hill
  • The Petrelli family sitting together
  • Sandra kicked ass this episode, so i also nominate her!
  • Claire and Alex's little mermaid moment?

...just a few nominations--Anthony Gooch 22:39, 2 March 2009 (EST)

  • I think the reporter is the best option.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:05, 2 March 2009 (EST)
    • I think the reporter is too "blah" I think it should be one of Sandra with Claire and Alex behind her; or if we're staying with the reporter, at least have the little video box of the hangar behind her.--Skullman1392 23:44, 2 March 2009 (EST)
      • The reporter with the video box would be okay.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:46, 2 March 2009 (EST)
      • I think the reporter with the video box would be the best choice, because it would show that the operation was exposed, tying in with the title. Dracomaster4 00:19, 3 March 2009 (EST)
  • Bravo on the reporter image. Well done! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:45, 3 March 2009 (EST)
  • How about Young Sylar crying "Momma!" or underwater "Kiss" between Claire and Alex? Just thought. Hopwas2007 06:55, 3 March 2009 (EST)
    • That doesn't really have anything to do with Exposed. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 07:33, 3 March 2009 (EST)
      • fair enough. just a thought that all. Hopwas2007 08:15, 3 March 2009 (EST)
        • Personally I think Alex topless would work as 'exposed'...but that's just a female perspective :) Disney42 11:48, 3 March 2009 (EST)
          • Can we get a screencap of that!? I hope he comes back cauz he is HOT! (I still heart Matt... and Peter).--JessicaHeartsMatt 15:09, 3 March 2009 (EST)
            • Not sure how reliable imdb is on Heroes actors, but Justin Baldoni is listed there in only two episodes. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:54, 3 March 2009 (EST)
  • Personally, only my opinon, I dont like lead image as it looks too boring. Should it change to more exciting image? Hopwas2007 18:03, 3 March 2009 (EST)
    • Perhaps Sandra reaching for the gun while the agents are searching for Alex? I think it would be fitting for the episode. --Werdoop 17:15, 4 March 2009 (EST)

New characters and actors

  • Another DHS agent?? This is giving me headaches, but I really don't enjoy consecutively numbered characters from different episodes... I'll sort them out on Thursday. --Radicell 04:20, 3 March 2009 (EST)
    • Agree. Feel free to give him a different name. I don't have any suggestions, sorry. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 07:58, 3 March 2009 (EST)
      • Manhattan agent is the best I've come up with for him. I'll change the links now. --Radicell 05:00, 4 March 2009 (EST)
        • Sounds fine. It's not as descriptive of what he does, but it gets rid of the parenthetical number. In this case I think it's okay. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:08, 4 March 2009 (EST)
          • Yeah. Sometimes I wonder why they couldn't get one guy to the same agent recurred in multiple episodes, instead of having so many of different ones. And sometimes I imagine a new graphic novel/other thing that would solve all our questions... (in this case, I'd marvel about the possibility of a graphic novel focused on the employees at Building 26, giving us all the agents name and solving the analyst conundrum as well. --Radicell 05:35, 5 March 2009 (EST)
            • Wouldn't that be nice--and maybe there could just be one graphic novel in which all the unnamed characters from Heroes appeared and they were all given names or defining characteristics. It might be extremely boring and surreal, but it would make Heroes Wiki contributors very happy! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 09:50, 7 March 2009 (EST)

Haha!

I loved it when Peter hugged Nathan! It was like a revenge. No more hugs! :)--Themd 09:43, 3 March 2009 (EST)

  • I would have thought Nathan would know better than to hug a Petrelli!  :)--Cro Magnon 10:48, 3 March 2009 (EST)
    • That was some sweet justice. --Mistyjo 11:21, 3 March 2009 (EST)
      • I can't believe Nathan actually fell for that. He's getting dumber, he didn't hug Arthur when he asked. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 14:23, 3 March 2009 (EST)
        • Nope, Peter's the only one who's had hugs go wrong. Nathan gave his dad a look and refused to hug him. Peter's learning.--Mistyjo 16:23, 3 March 2009 (EST)
        • I don't think he's being stupid. If anything he wants this to happen.Llddz 18:24, 3 March 2009 (EST)
          • But Nathan seemed pretty angry that Peter took his power. He even wanted to chase after him. --Ice Vision (talk) 12:53, 4 March 2009 (EST)
  • there should be a petrellis hugs page--Cj31094 19:26, 4 March 2009 (EST)

MAKE NO SENSE

how does alex help claire breathe, since when can he breathe OUT oxygen make no sense IceGhost78 19:41, 3 March 2009 (EST)

  • Because when humans breathe, not all the oxygen in the air inhaled is actually absorbed by the organism, so when he exhaled he pushed some oxygen to her. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 19:44, 3 March 2009 (EST)
    • IceGhost78i thought when humans breathe in the oxygen automatically diffuses from the alveoli to the capillaries and carbon dioxide goes from capillaries to alveoli
      • True, but not all the oxygen diffuses, it's not a 100% thing, but it comes close to it. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 19:52, 3 March 2009 (EST)
        • IceGhost78 so this give us info about how he can breathe underwater then, his blood must never run out of oxygen
          • I don't know how his power actually works, but I think that he's able to extract oxygen from the water, as if he breathed water, when in inhales, he gets oxygen, and when he exhales, since not all the oxygen goes to his lungs, he breathed it into Claire. I suggest sending a question to the BTE if you want to know more, this is as far as I can logically make out. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 20:05, 3 March 2009 (EST)
  • Who said that Alex was helping Claire breathe? I think that's the way it was portrayed...but if Claire can heal, she can conceivably survive being underwater for a few minutes. Maybe they were just kissing? :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:21, 3 March 2009 (EST)
    • In Merediths training session with Claire (where she burnt all the oxygen outta the room) didn't she say something about Claire THINKING she needed oxygen....b/c she originally needed it for 14 years, and now even though she doesn't needs it, her and her brain are stuck on that automatic response thing of needing to breathe....did that make sense?--Anthony Gooch 00:22, 4 March 2009 (EST)
      • Well, Adam Monroe survived without air in his coffin, so I'm sure Claire could have survived without Alex's "oxygen kiss". But it looked like she was panicing before the kiss.--Cro Magnon 10:35, 4 March 2009 (EST)
IceGhost78 adam say he died a lot in coffin though
  • what really makes no sense is somebody traveling in time lol, i mean it's TV c'mon!--Themd 20:57, 5 March 2009 (EST)
    • Actually a lot of these abilities actually can be explained scientifically, including time travel. We have seen Daphne and Ando do it, through moving past the speed of light. Hiro does it by changing the dimensions around him to become the place he wants to go, effectively bending space and or time.--Steelymcbeam 23:27, 5 March 2009 (EST)

Candice Wilmer

During Sylar's first memory scene, a woman is shown in clear focus and I am sure its Candice Wilmer, or the woman that Candice makes herself look like when she uses her power.

  • And how old would be Candice in that memory of Sylar? She was a teenager not so long ago. She could have not be born the time Sylar recalls.--Altes 05:44, 4 March 2009 (EST)
  • I just rewatched the scene. I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be a young Virginia Gray. She does look a lot like Candice, though I'm sure it's not actually Missy Peregrym. Also, Altes' reasons above support the fact that it can't be Candice Willmer. -Whizzles 10:30, 4 March 2009 (EST)
    • It cant be Virginia Gray cos she died in 2006 by Sylar so it must be completely different mother. Sylar's mother played by Natalie Salins. Hope this clears it up Hopwas2007 06:58, 5 March 2009 (EST)
      • You're forgetting that the scene takes place in 1980. I think Whizzles's explanation makes sense - Samson took Sylar to meet Martin and Virginia. --Radicell 07:18, 5 March 2009 (EST)
        • There are two mothers, the bought one at the table, Virginia in 1980, and the one in the car, "Mommy". Years later, Candice was fat baby Betty! --Juba 09:16, 5 March 2009 (EST)--Juba 05:36, 6 March 2009 (EST)--Juba 05:36, 6 March 2009 (EST)
          • So which one we are refering to.. one in cafe and one in car? sorry if i am bit confused so I apologise in advance Hopwas2007 15:23, 5 March 2009 (EST)
            • The couple at the table is Mr. and Mrs Gray: Martin and Virginia; the one in the car is Mr. and Mrs Gray: Samson and "Mommy"! No Candice, no Betty...--Juba 05:36, 6 March 2009 (EST)
              • Ah makes sense now! Thanks for clarfying! Hopwas2007 12:42, 6 March 2009 (EST)

The Chain

Anyone else love the Mac song during Sylar's past, that gnarly bass line summed up Sylar for me. SomeoneImportant 17:56, 4 March 2009 (EST)

yea, the music this volume is awesome. - TomJs35713
And the text: "chain, keep us together, running in the shadows..."--Juba 09:16, 5 March 2009 (EST)
Was it The Chain or Gold Dust Woman? --TrueBlueBrooklynite 20:50, 6 March 2009 (EST)

Narrations?

When did the narrations (at the beginning of each episode) stop? I just realized that there hasn't been one in a while... --Peter 20:10, 4 March 2009 (EST)

  • The last narration was in "Dual." I know, It makes me really sad too...--Skullman1392 22:42, 4 March 2009 (EST)
    • I bet they'll be back in another volume, the narrations don't really lend themselves to this type of story. --Mistyjo 09:19, 5 March 2009 (EST)
