SO EXCITED

I need it now. D: I'll also do the Synopsis tonight. =P --AnotherNella 19:08, 3 December 2007 (EST)

  • Yeah, I'm looking forward to the episode as well. Good luck with the synopsis! :) (Admin 19:09, 3 December 2007 (EST))
    • Sorry it took so long, but I'm working on the Synopsis now. --AnotherNella 16:33, 4 December 2007 (EST)
    • OH GOD, WHAT THE HELL. I had it typed up to Noah telling Elle about her tests as a child and my FREAKING COMPUTER FROZE. Ugh, sorry guys. Now I know to start typing it up in Word or something first. x| --AnotherNella 17:42, 4 December 2007 (EST)

The montage during Nathan's speech ...

I'm just double-checking here, but everything included in the montage doesn't count towards the appearances and/or power useages right ? --LeoChris 22:00, 3 December 2007 (EST)

  • OMIGOD!....uh...There was no power seen so I don't think it counts.--The Empath 22:02, 3 December 2007 (EST)
    • Wasn't phasing seen in the DL part ? --LeoChris 22:03, 3 December 2007 (EST)
      • Oh that, sorry, I thought you ment the speech. I would wait to see someone elses, imput but mine is no. Those were already seen apart of past episodes.--The Empath 22:05, 3 December 2007 (EST)
        • I'd say only if the character was credited in the beginning.--Riddler 22:07, 3 December 2007 (EST)

Great Job! Brilliant

  • Ryan told me who died on Saturday night, so I expected what happened but I liked how Nathan died much more than what they did with Niki.--  Japanimation          My Talk   22:16, 3 December 2007 (EST)
    • Really? I thought Niki's death was better. I would have expected more security around Nathan, and why didn't Peter's tk power kick in to save his brother's life (i.e. did the virus take his powers)? But I like what Angela said, that they opened "pandora's box" tonight... (I guess Angela had still expected for Nathan to take office?) Now there's all sorts of new questions.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:25, 3 December 2007 (EST)
      • I'm really sure that Peter didn't notice bullets flying through the air... --Thehoodie 01:07, 4 December 2007 (EST)
      • Yeah, the shot was pretty much unavoidable. But Matt saw the killer as he was walking away; he looked up and stared after him. I was pretty much just like "WTF?! STOP HIM!" He could have used telepathic control or something. >_>; And Nathan was originally supposed to fall because of the Shanti Virus? Perhaps this was why he died in the Outbreak timeline? :O --Thrashmeister 23:24, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • Agreed, that was one of my favorite moments of the finale.--  Japanimation          My Talk   22:29, 3 December 2007 (EST)
    • Nice admission to the fact that Ryan told you when (iirc) he wasn't supposed to say anything. Now, I don't mind either way, but ifffff Iiiii weerreee youuu, I'd edit both yours and my current comment. >_>;--Riddler 22:19, 3 December 2007 (EST)
      • Well, it really doesn't matter now, the episode is over ;-D--  Japanimation          My Talk   22:25, 3 December 2007 (EST)
        • Don't forget about time-zones. The one on Pacific time just ended as I write this. --PeterDawson 01:07, 4 December 2007 (EST)
      • Japanimation doesn't need to edit anything. I was never told not to tell anybody, I have just been trying to be judicial in the last few days in not telling anybody who died. I found out because of my connection to G4, and I didn't think that'd be very fair to tout that kind of inside information. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:30, 3 December 2007 (EST)
        • I thought you said you couldn't. Maybe I misread somewhere.--Riddler 22:33, 3 December 2007 (EST)
          • Jap - you almost ruined it for me, but luckily I had forgotten all about it by the time of the speech. You may want to edit it tho, it might spoil it for others. Arnor 01:28, 4 December 2007 (EST)
            • I really disagree with that. If you come here before you've seen the episode and it has indeed aired somewhere else, it is your own fault. --  Seclusion  talk / contribs 08:15, 4 December 2007 (EST)
              • I disagree. We sometimes have discussions in here about anticipation leading up to the episode, so people might check in on those conversations as well. You have no way of knowing. --PeterDawson 18:53, 4 December 2007 (EST)
                • Once an episode airs, all content from the episode is fair game. If you come to the site--especially to the episode's talk page--be prepared to read what happened in the episode. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:04, 4 December 2007 (EST)
                  • Yeah, but after which time-zone's airing? --PeterDawson 20:53, 4 December 2007 (EST)
                    • The time in which it has first aired. I believe thats EST. --  Seclusion  talk / contribs 21:00, 4 December 2007 (EST)
                    • We've always begun updating articles after the 9 pm EST airing. Even when on occasion it has aired a day prior in Canada, we still wait until 9 pm EST. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:08, 4 December 2007 (EST)

Lol.

Wow, they totally pulled a "Who shot JR??" with this one. And who else laughed out loud at Adam's fate? xD I actually feel sorry for him though. >_<

Did anybody else think the Monica/Micah/Niki plotline felt like it was just... tacked on? It seemed out of place. Compare some kid wanting his dad's medal and comics back to saving the world from an insane superpowered serial killer and a misguided madman hellbent on destroying the world with a virus.

And also. Caitlin. Wouldn't saving the world from the virus pretty much... destroy her? Since the time period she's in doesn't exist anymore? --Thrashmeister 22:21, 3 December 2007 (EST)

  • Who shot Mr. Burns? In any case, they showed Bob in the background walking away, unless it was someone else in a similar suit with a similar haircut. Also, the Niki thing did feel out of place; I've NEVER heard of someone burning down a house with a person in it over a little thievery...--Riddler 22:24, 3 December 2007 (EST)
    • I think Hype (that was his name right ?) was paid to lit the house of fire anyway (as per his comments last ep.), Monica just happened to be there at the wrong time ... As far as Caitlin go, I assume that since she's not from the future, she won't cease to exist, the future will just change around her ... does that make any sense ? --LeoChris 22:26, 3 December 2007 (EST)
      • Yeah, but the future should be different for both Peter and Caitlin now. It will be interesting to see how the writers handle that.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:36, 3 December 2007 (EST)
      • I'm pretty sure it wasn't Bob. Bob is... what can I say...? Fat. That man was thin, like Noah. Noah made a "deal" with the Company and Bob, and it seems that he had to kill Nathan to protect the secret.--Ice Vision 22:27, 3 December 2007 (EST)
        • So did West fly Noah from California to Texas at Mach 23 or something? How else did Bennet go transcontinental within minutes? --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 12/3/2007 22:30 (EST)
          • Bob flew Noah there. It seems they've come to an understanding... Bob was outside the house, waiting for Noah to come out.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:37, 3 December 2007 (EST)
          • Plus the guy didn't have a chrome dome. I'm 99% sure it's Noah. As for who Angela was on the phone with, THAT's gonna be interesting. I think we'll finally get to see her ability.....next season.--Bob (talk) 22:31, 3 December 2007 (EST)
          • Minutes? What do you mean? The amount of time in Heroes is not the same as the amount of time of the episode. There was a lot of time in between. And, he probably took a plane.--Ice Vision 22:33, 3 December 2007 (EST)
        • I didn't notice thinner... but thinner... bald... Arthur Petrelli?--Riddler 22:32, 3 December 2007 (EST)
          • See, what bugs me about it being him is Nathan supposedly saw his dad's body. And as people have pointed out, the whole blood thing is really getting old. It's like we've gone from the current age of comics to the silver age where no hero could die forever. --PeterDawson 01:21, 4 December 2007 (EST)
          • He certainly wasn't bald... I would say he looked like he had a similar hairstyle to HRG from above if I'm honest. And yes, I would agree that the whole blood thing is a bit of a problem for the storytelling, each time someone dies it loses it's gravitas, you know they could be right back next episode...--Yatta! 17:05, 16 December 2007 (EST)
  • Another thing, was Adam teleported into his own coffin or Kaito's coffin? Since last night, I was always under the impression that he was in Kaito's coffin. That'd be both crueler and funnier. --Thrashmeister 21:46, 4 December 2007 (EST)
    • I don't think it was Kaito's coffin. If I recall correctly, Adam was buried near those stones in the front, while Kaito was buried a few yards behind that (where the people are standing, in front of Kaito and Ishi's memorial stone). By the way, I was dying of laughter at Adam being buried alive. He got owned. Hahahaha, that was hilarious. =)--Ice Vision 22:20, 4 December 2007 (EST)

Uhh...

I don't know bout y'all, but I thought this episode was awful. First, with the plethora of abilities Peter has, he CHOSE telekinesis to get through the door. Lame. he could have easily phased through it, melted it, ripped it off, or I don't know what else. But he chose tk which took so much time. He and Adam could have been in their at least minutes before. And why is it that Peter always gets to put the world in danger, and then saves it. Sometimes I think I could write better plots. I was very disappointed. Random guy 23:15, 3 December 2007 (EST)

  • I thought it was one of the better episodes of the season. It was exciting, and I was fully invested in each character. Noah's return--and quick departure--was a tearjerker. Niki's death was heroic and sad, just as I finally began liking the character. (Did you love how she beat up the gang member, even without her powers?) Micah was smart and efficient. Nathan's death was shocking. And I thought Peter was using a good mix of his abilities--every scene with him kept me on the edge of my seat. This was a strong episode and a very good season/volume ender. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:23, 3 December 2007 (EST)
    • This entire scene I kept thinking "You don't have to have superpowers to be a hero." I think it's offical: I spend too much time on the wiki -- Lulu .:talk:. 00:00, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • To be honest, I agree, in that the episode could have been better. However, I also believe that the episode was one of the best episodes in the season. They finished the season with a solid finale. I'm guessing that that vault door was incredibly strong. Enhanced strength wouldn't work because he would probably have to ram his way in, and that super strong door wouldn't allow that. Another way to break down something with strength is to snap it in half, but with a huge thing like that, you would have no grip, no way to grab on to both sides (Peter's not elastic). The door might be radiation-proof or something. Phasing would defeat the purpose; the writers' wanted Adam to get his hands on the virus, then Adam would be stopped. That's just a classic superhero thing. A virus capable of wiping of out the global population would probably be kept in the safest and most secure place. I think the writers chose telekinesis because telekinesis is based on the power of the mind. The mind is not limited like human muscles. I've always been told that the brain is the most powerful and most important organ in the body. I guess that's it for my babbling.--Ice Vision 23:32, 3 December 2007 (EST)
  • Melting that door seemed unrealistic as he could of caused way too much damage to the building. Phasing, its possible, but maybe it was too dense or something. Besides, Peter hadn't demonstrated telekinesis in a while, plus it made him look more like Sylar. As for Peter saving the day, he didn't really. He was pretty much just a tool both Adam and Nathan used to manipulate things, Adam for the worse and Nathan for the better. Peter didn't save the day in Season 1 either, Hiro and Nathan did. If anything Nathan saving the day with kind words and sacrifice is more of a recurring theme here than anything else. --PeterDawson 01:25, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • This episode was awesome! 20:41, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • Peter could have easily used telekenis to turn the cogs within the door and use the enhanced hearing he would've absorbed from Sylar at Kirby Plaza to hear the clicks. Short of Trying to fly at the door it was the stupidest way to try and get in. --MrLore|talk|Contributions 09:53, 5 December 2007 (EST)
  • And Hiro could have just teleported into the room and grab the vial, instead of popping up in front of them shouting "I have to stop you!" Sure, the plot demands a confrontation but more thought could have been put into the set-up. This supposedly impenetratable location turned out to be disappointingly lame. A giant safe guarded by a bunch of extras? Really, the whole season has been a disappointment. --Borowki 12:40, 6 December 2007 (EST)
  • Hey, someone could please tell Sylar that Maya comes from CENTRAL America and not SOUTH America, as he says to Mohinder? Duh. --Alexandra
    • Um, Maya did come from South America. From the Dominican Republic, she fled to a monestary in Venezuela. From there (South America), Alejandro and Maya travelled by land through Colombia and up through Central America.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:23, 7 December 2007 (EST)
    • Oh, I thought only about Dominican Republic (Central America), which is where she came from. I forgot she had gone to that church in Venezuela (South America) after Alejandro's wedding. Thanks a lot! :) --Alexandra

Episode title photo

I think we should use Sylar pointing a gun at Mohinder as the title photo, since that's not really a spoiler. Monica all tied up with the flames burning is my second choice. Monica with Micah (Image:Powerless.jpg) is a spoiler, so I don't think that is appropriate.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:34, 3 December 2007 (EST)

  • I would prefer an image that has to do with the virus. The main story revolves around destroying that thing. Perhaps the purple tube floating in mid-air? An image of the speech would also be nice.--Ice Vision 23:47, 3 December 2007 (EST)
    • The vial in mid-air would be okay, I guess, since it was shown in the previews. It's definately better than any image of the speech (that's definately a spoiler).--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:54, 3 December 2007 (EST)
      • I like the image of Monica and Micah a lot, but I'm not opposed to something else, like the vial dropping. However, since the episode page is included on the Main Page, we really do need a lead image. I'll restore it; if it's decided to use a different picture, we can switch later on. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:08, 4 December 2007 (EST)
        • Why not Sylar with a gun since the title is 'Powerless'? It was in the previews as well. --PeterDawson 01:26, 4 December 2007 (EST)
          • That's what I said originally. I just found a couple screenshots of it and am uploading them now. Patience is a virtue...--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:32, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • Ok, check out Image:Powerless_Sylar.jpg (which I just changed to be current version), Image:Powerless_Mohinder.jpg, Image:Powerless_vial.jpg.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:54, 4 December 2007 (EST)

WOW!!!

  • Tonite was quitea shocker! I mean, i dont care about Nicki, but Nathan? Come on! Who shot him? And his mother didnt look upset at all! Elle was pretty cool coming to their rescue. But Sylars back! Why doesnt he die already?! He gets on my nerves. Im out, Long Live NAthan Petrelli!Nick Petrelli 23:39, 3 December 2007 (EST)
    • Sylar doesn't die because he's the villain of the story. Angela knew it the situation, however, she did had tears in her eyes. She was sad, you could tell.--Ice Vision 23:44, 3 December 2007 (EST)
      • I've never been so sad about a character dying, even sadder than when Noah got shot. Nathan was just such a badass and a pimp, it completely sucks that he gets assassinated. I hope the punk who shot him gets a slooow and painful death. --AnotherNella 23:50, 3 December 2007 (EST)
      • I did not see. It looked like Bob who killed him. Could peter have saved him since he was around Linderman?Nick Petrelli 23:50, 3 December 2007 (EST)
        • It wasn't really clear who the heck shot him. One guy walking away from the crowd was a guy with a hat on that reminded me of Sylar from early in Season 1. As for Linderman, last I checked Peter never directly encountered the guy. --PeterDawson 01:27, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • Poor Nathan, I finally began to like him. Bam he's dead. Everyone I like dies. I'm going to start liking Hiro just to spite the Hiro fans. If Angela had a significant hand in Nathan's shooting, I'll hate her. :[ -- Lulu .:talk:. 00:03, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • If Niki's death means that Monica and the Dawsons get more screen time, that's a good thing. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:12, 4 December 2007 (EST)
    • Yeah, but gone are the days of a tall blond with super-strength crushing a guy's skull in stilettos. --PeterDawson 01:13, 4 December 2007 (EST)
      • Hmmmm... was it just me, because I got the impression that Angela was directly involved? Like she'd organised the assassination to keep their secret?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  15:46, 4 December 2007 (EST)
        • She was directly invovled. Hence the phone call... --Mish(Talk) 15:00, 5 December 2007 (EST)
          • WHY NOT JUST GO DOWN AND USE HER TOUCH-BASED PERSUASION ABILITY TO MAKE HIM STOP? Oh wait--because she doesn't have one.--Hardvice (talk) 15:13, 5 December 2007 (EST)
            • Calm down Dave. We know she cant use touch persuasion...but she could have just used her Uber-Tele-Empathy like Peter to just wish him dead.:P --Mish(Talk) 09:00, 6 December 2007 (EST)

Is Nathan dead??

Could they have used Claires blood to save him?Nick Petrelli 23:49, 3 December 2007 (EST)

  • Who needs Clairs Blood?...Peter could use his own blood since he has pulled Adam's power and he knows Adam's blood heals. I would think that he would instantly jump to this solution.--ASEO 13:20, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • That blood thing is cheap and getting old. I thought we had finally got rid of Maya, but no she's alive....this sucks.
    • Yeah, but now she might actually be useful and not just a seemingly pointless subplot in which she murders random people and makes out with a major villain while her brother lays dead not five meters away. I don't think she's naive anymore. --PeterDawson 01:16, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • The sooner they get ride of that Deus ex Machina, the better. But still... Nathan. :[ -- Lulu .:talk:. 00:04, 4 December 2007 (EST)
    • I hope the blood thing is gone for now. Adam's buried and I doubt everyone will run to Claire for her magic blood... BUT THEY BETTER RUN TO HER FOR NATHAN. --AnotherNella 00:12, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • Now Nathan's dead, but we're not sure if he's going to come back. Mmmh, just had a Déjà vu. --Luisu 00:32, 4 December 2007 (EST)
  • I really hope that they keep him dead, it really pisses me off when they keep bringing people back like that. --Thehoodie 01:18, 4 December 2007 (EST)
    • I guess they wanted some people to be saved, just not the ones Hiro tries to save. I mean, it is a show about amazing powers, and what's more amazing than saving a life? --PeterDawson 01:28, 4 December 2007 (EST)
      • I'm getting pretty sick of Claire's magic plot blood healing everyone who dies. They need to establish a limit on it like they did for Hiro's powers. --Piemanmoo 01:53, 4 December 2007 (EST)
        • Why would they? The powers are completely unrelated, and I can't think of any limits to Claire's blood healing others. If it can heal severe radiation burns and bring dead people back to life, there are basically no limits - I'm tempted to say quality, but even if she's drained of blood, couldn't she regenerate it, if she had enough to power her brain? Arnor 04:30, 4 December 2007 (EST)
          • Does anyone else find it kind of funny and telling that the big question is, "Is Nathan really dead?", and no one seems care if Niki lives or dies? :P op 4 December 2007
            • I prefer Niki to Nathan, hands down. But it seems like pretty much a foregone conclusion that Niki's dead.--Hardvice (talk) 15:12, 5 December 2007 (EST)
            • Besides, her character was pretty lame. She's in deep doo-doo, then she's not, but she has split personailty, but wait no its gone, or so you think, cuz another one sprouts, then wait she isn't back but she also doesn't have super powers, so now she's normal...blah blah. Nathan on the other hand has been given a soul. He seems like you or I, very down to earth. He makes decisions and is a leader, a real selfless hero, and I hoped would be an icon on the show. I mean really. Was that jaw actually chiselled by Stan Lee? --Mish(Talk) 15:25, 5 December 2007 (EST)
                • LOL! thats funny! I never really liked Nate untill this season.Nick Petrelli 17:36, 7 December 2007 (EST)

Powerless

So in an odd coincidence an owl flew into a power line outside my house, leaving most of the neighborhood powerless (including my cousins who normally record Heroes). Luckily my house and three others right in the middle still had power. Then just after Nathan started his speech, they shut off the power so they could reconnect the line, leaving us powerless. After the line was reconnected they turned the power back on to all but the four houses that had it before. We were powerless for about an hour, which is better then most of the rest of the neighborhood, but it looks like I missed the most important parts. Oh well, I will have to see if my cousins can get it this weekend, or the summery better be really good. ;) -Lөvөl 02:24, 4 December 2007 (EST)

Does it seem...

Contrary to the title, the episode seemed to have the most power usage of any episode of the volume. --  Seclusion  talk / contribs 08:15, 4 December 2007 (EST)

  • ...and each usage seemed to be well-balanced and for good reason. It was, in my opinion, power usage used generally to further the story and not just to showcase powers. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:00, 4 December 2007 (EST)

        • Speaking of hokey, why didn't Peter just walk through the vault door to get the virus? Doesn't he have phasing powers from D.L.? [5] Anybody else cheezed about that? I find myself becoming more critical about the show these days, kinda like back in the day when I was Trekkie and they had to use a fire extinguisher to put out a fire on the Enterprise... CHEEEEZZZEEE!! Landline 19:32, 4 December 2007 (EST)
          • That couldn't of done that since the rest of the storyline wouldn't work. I think they were going for something like; While the body has limits, the mind does not. ----  Seclusion  talk / contribs 19:43, 4 December 2007 (EST)
            • I thought the same thing about the phasing, what a rip off. Random guy 21:10, 4 December 2007 (EST)
              • In defense of Peter, he may have superhuman abilities, but he still thinks like a human. I have a ton of skills I have learned for my job, but when I am under pressure and when I have to act on the spot, I often forget what I can do. I usually resort to what's easiest, what I am most used to, or what comes to mind first. I think Noah really hinted at this idea in Team Building Exercise: "Most of these people aren't trained...They revert back to normal human responses." -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:22, 4 December 2007 (EST)
                • That's weak!! If I've walked through walls before it's not like forgetting one of the methods of the window object in programming. I WALKED THROUGH FRICKIN WALLS!! At that point I start looking at the world a little differently, like "Hey, those walls aren't REALLY barriers any more.". It's not something I would think he'd forget. Plus, at that point he should already have had some doubt about Adam's motives (obviously since he asked about Kaito) but I would have thought that is exactly what he would have done. I was screaming "Phase in there dude!". This is something I have been noticing as well, I am far more critical of their decisions on the show than I was during the first season. I'll be extremely upset if Peter doesn't save Nathan with his blood beause it defies his character. Just like I'm upset that he has yet to try to save Caitlyn.--Mish(Talk) 15:34, 5 December 2007 (EST)
                  • You wouldn't forget it because you wouldn't have flown, nor traveled in time, or anything like Peter has done. It is plausible he forgot one of his many abilities.-- Kejehegefe 18:13 13 December 2007 (EST)
                  • I'm not sure Peter's blood could heal anyone, though. Peter doesn't have RCR as a power--he duplicates Claire's power. It's a minor distinction, but one which could be very important in this case. There's no reason to assume that Peter's blood, separated from his body, has any of the characteristics of Claire's blood. Peter is capable of copying Claire's power. His blood might not be.--Hardvice (talk) 15:43, 5 December 2007 (EST)
                    • "There's no reason to assume...". I disagree. I think there is very good reason to assume. So far in every aspect he has been able to replicate the abilities of every other person he's come into contact with other than the Haitian. I don't see why Claire/Adam's abilities would be any different. So until the show explains why it wouldn't work I would default to the premise that it would work just fine. Granted he has some issues learning the abilities sometimes (like controlling the radioactivity) but then again so do some of the original users (Ted accidentally KFC'ed a doctor).--Mish(Talk) 09:04, 6 December 2007 (EST)
                      • For purposes of this site, we really try not to assume anything until we've seen it or had confirmation of it somewhere else. Peter has not replicated the abilities of every other person with whom he has come in contact: He's only replicated one of Sylar's abilities, he has never demonstrated Eden's power of persuasion, Molly's power of clairvoyance, Micah's technopathy, or most recently Bob's alchemy. That's not to say he can't replicate these powers, we just don't assume he can. And technically, Peter does not have the power of regeneration like Claire and Adam--he has the power to mimic the power of regeneration. How (or even if) that is able to manifest itself through Peter's blood remains to be seen. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 09:17, 6 December 2007 (EST)

  • I noticed that too, that was great. Random guy 21:11, 4 December 2007 (EST)

Several Potential Brain Inconsistencies

  • From everything we've seen, the powers are controlled by the brain, and a working brain is required for the powers to work. Adam is now buried in a coffin, and the story implies that he will live underground forever (or at least until someone decides to dig him up). The problem is that the coffin will quickly run out of breathable air, and the brain cannot function without air. We all realize that Tim Kring wanted to keep the Adam character available in case they want to use him again, but If a later storyline has him exhumed, they will have to deal with this problem. This may not be a big problem. It appears that Claire was "dead" for several hours in Collision, but once the tree branch was removed from her brain she was able to heal, even though the brain was deprived of air for that time. This raises plenty of questions.
  • Several characters have blood that can cure the Shanti Virus and even heal other people. When Claire's blood is in HRG's body, Claire is not present, so evidently it is HRG's brain that is doing the healing. The assumption is that anyone, even an un-enhanced person has a brain capable of using the blood to heal. Unfortunately, this would seem to contradict Mohinder's speech in Genesis where he indicates that advanced human evolution significantly involves the brain. If we assume that HRG is not evolved (there has been no evidence), then the fact that HRG's brain is able to use Claire's blood to heal implies that Claire's brain is no more evolved than HRG's. (Her attraction to West implies that her brain is even LESS evolved... :-)) --AlanK 01:37, 5 December 2007 (EST)
    • Actually her special power, which resides in the brain, seems to use her blood as a means of transportation to the rest of her body in order to heal wounds where ever she may get them. It's also been hinted that this kinda "stores up" and actually makes the person live alot longer than they normally would. Apparently the effect wears off on the blood if not constantly "re-energized" by the evolved brain after a certain amount of time or else Nathan would already be healing the damage from the gun shots.--Mish(Talk) 15:38, 5 December 2007 (EST)

Trivia

Volume 2 was originally supposed to end with the Shanti Virus being released, Odessa being quarantined, and Nathan collapsing from the virus in the middle of his speech. Due to the writer's strike cutting the season short, the virus storyline was resolved and the ending scene was rewritten to end on a more dramatic cliffhanger note, with Nathan being gunned down by an unknown assassin.

Is there a source for this, or is this Kristin Veitch-style "the story changed!" If there is a source, we should list it ("According to so-and-so"). If there isn't, we should delete this.--Hardvice (talk) 19:13, 5 December 2007 (EST)

  • Definitely should be removed. But I was under the impression that Tim Kring went and made a few minor adjustments the night before the strike--I believe Greg Beeman said that on his blog. I didn't think it was major changes. Eh, who knows? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:11, 5 December 2007 (EST)
    • During the commentary, they mention that originally, the virus was going to be released and Nathan was going to collapse from the virus during his speech (you can find pictures from that scene on the official site). The specific details are from some spoilers that were posted on the nbc boards in late October, before the rewrites. [6] They got everything else right, so they're probably legitimate.
      • That's a message board...--Ice Vision 22:30, 5 December 2007 (EST)
      • I also recall that huge spoiler saying Hiro looked disappointed that he didn't stop the virus, but stopped Adam. That explains why he looked upset when he was in Japan.--Bob (talk) 02:24, 6 December 2007 (EST)
    • I added it back, now with information on the sources. I kept the stuff from the NBC boards hidden in case that isn't considered a valid source. Conduit 23:41, 7 December 2007 (EST)

Niki's Death

I don't know if people talked about this yet (I didn't want to read all the stuff above), but in the trailer it said "two heroes will fall" or something like that. If Nathan is one, Niki should be the other, right? On Niki's page it listed her as "unknown if she survived". Did I miss someone dieing or something? Could some one please just give me a short answer I'm dieing to know. Niki was one of her favorite characters, and her last scene was AWESOME!--Patrick 06:06, 6 December 2007 (EST)

  • The trailers should be taken with a grain of salt. The trailer for Four Months Ago said we'd find out what happened to Sylar, and he didn't even appear in the episode until they showed stock footage from the previous episode. Also, it's kind of an assumption to draw "a character dies" from "a character falls". Lame, I know. But until we see that Niki's dead, we can't assume. Think about last year's season finale. We didn't know what happened to Sylar (stabbed), Matt ("shot" 4 times), D.L. (shot), or Nathan and Peter (up in the air during/after the explosion) until the next season, so you'll just have to wait.--Bob (talk) 07:03, 6 December 2007 (EST)
  • Yeah, the trailer could of just said that for drama purposes. Still, Niki was trapped inside a building that pretty much exploded and we never saw her after that. We haven't seen a body, death certificate or anything, but we also haven't seen her alive and well. The cliche here would be they think she's dead but never find a body and later on she returns, revealing she escaped somehow. --PeterDawson 14:12, 7 December 2007 (EST)

Images inside the Episode's Synopsis

  • Ok, I would put them there myself if I knew exactly how to do it, but I'm sure there's like certain images that shoul-shouldn't be there, or sizes, etc... So who is in charge of it? Or are we going to stop doing that? because I think it looks better like that. Plus this Episode's Synopsos is kind of short, it feels like it's missing something... Or maybe that's just my opinion... anyone? --(ME my talk/my contribs) 11:34, 10 December 2007 (EST)
  • I don't mind three or four pictures to help illustrate the episode, break up the synopsis a bit, and visually remind people of what happened. It shouldn't look like swiss cheese, and the images should be illustrative of the episode as a whole. (In other words, not all of them should be images of Nathan, and not all of them should be images from scenes in the vault. And you wouldn't want to find mundane images, like all the vault items.) If you're not sure the format for adding images, just sprinkle a few thumbnails around the page. The format goes something like this:
    [[Image:Name.jpg|thumb|left|Caption (which can include [[links]]).]]
Don't forget to change the left to right, as the images should alternate left and right. If you mess up, don't worry, we can always go back and fix it. But feel free to take a crack at it. Good luck! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:23, 10 December 2007 (EST)
    • I generally tried to get four per page, but due to the length of some of the synopsis(es...), I couldn't fit four without it looking akward. So try to get four in, and look at some of the other episodes for an example. One thing I tried to focus on was spacing them out evenly rather than having thumbnails line up exactly with the text that pertained to the image. Good luck.--Bob (talk) 14:35, 10 December 2007 (EST)
      • There is actually information still missing from the synopsis which might explain why it looks awkward, such as Peter, Matt and Nathan talking about exposing the Company while they're in the facility; Matt asking Nathan if Peter is still as powerful as he was at Kirby Plaza; and I'm fairly certain when Mohinder finds out that Sylar has the same strain of the virus as Niki, Maya confronts him - Maya does not find out her brother is dead after Sylar has found out about the strain. I might get to work on this later if I have the time. --DocM 14:39, 10 December 2007 (EST)
        • Thank you for your answers... DocM, should I wait untill you complete the synopsis, before I add the images? I'm leaving town for a while, so it might take some time for me to do it anyways... --(ME my talk/my contribs) 16:18, 10 December 2007 (EST)
