New episodes

  • When setting up a new episode using the template, please leave all the sections in even if they're not currently filled out. They'll get filled in quickly after the episode airs and leaving the incomplete sections in (like Synopsis for instance :) ) helps make completing the page easier and helps keeps the episode articles uniform. Summary

  • We need a new episode summary that uses the same format as the previous episodes. The last summary was pulled right from TV Guide. We can do better than that! :) (Admin 00:43, 14 November 2006 (EST))
    • Yeah, since people started the article early I had just pasted in the TV guide summary until it aired. Now that it has, I've updated the summary. It's awfully short, but so much spoilerish stuff happened that that's to be expected.--Hardvice (talk) 02:08, 14 November 2006 (EST)

Sanjog Iyer

Well now I'm confused. The folder is clearly labelled "Sanjog, Iyer". The trouble is, "Sanjog" is a first name and "Iyer" is a surname (and a surname particularly common in Chennai at that). Indian surnames are often derived from castes, as is the case with "Iyer"—in fact, the Iyers even have their own dialect. It'd be like somebody being named "Johnson Mike", only weirder. Maybe we should go the Haitian route and just call him the "mysterious boy" for now?--Hardvice (talk) 05:46, 14 November 2006 (EST)

I did a bit of checking online, and I think it may be a problem with the prop. It is apparently common in spoken Indian to call someone "Smith John" to honor their family name. I am guessing that someone in the prop department mis-typed the label on the file in Western format as "John, Smith". --Orne 15:01, 14 November 2006 (EST)
That would be my guess, too. The name inversion is far and away most common in the south. Still, that comma bugs the hell out of me.--Hardvice (talk) 15:18, 14 November 2006 (EST)
