FYI
Not that my presence is required or anything, but I won't be around tonight. I have to have stupid dinner with my stupid partner's stupid friend from his stupid failed startup. But I'm not bitter.--Hardvice (talk) 19:12, 29 January 2007 (EST)
- Doesn't he realize the wiki's more important than dinner?! :) Sorry to hear you won't be around, the more people around after the episode airs the better. Thank goodness for Tivo at least, eh? heh (Admin 19:16, 29 January 2007 (EST))
- Forget wiki being more important, HEROES ITSELF is more important!! (My condolences, watch the episode as soon as you can then come visit us!) Disney42 19:55, 29 January 2007 (EST)
- Man, I wish I had a life. Even a stupid one. StupidRyanStupidGibsonStupidStewart (stupid) 20:25, 29 January 2007 (EST)
- I'm going to be a good hour late the next few weeks because of stupid play practice (which I'm getting not-so-stupidly paid for at least). --Fcphantom 23:19, 29 January 2007 (EST)

Dr. Witherson I presume?
- I heard "Withers", not "Witherson". Anybody else?--Hardvice (talk) 02:00, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- The spoilers all said Dr. Withers, and there is already a page for her. -Level 02:40, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- Yup. Just relistened. She says "I'm Doctor WithersandI'm a psychologist" with no pause, hence the confusion.--Hardvice (talk) 03:30, 30 January 2007 (EST)
Sylar's escape
- I think we should hold off on speculating as to how Sylar managed to appear dead, particularly by adding a power article for a power we know nothing about. I'm sure more will be revealed.--Hardvice (talk) 02:03, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- Thought it was obvious. He aquired the cockroach's abilities. They can slow their heart rate down so that they appear dead, and even hold their breath for almost an hour at a time. This is not a new power. It's simply his known ability of intuitive aptitude utilized in a new way. He knows how things work. Not just humanoid mutates. He knows how clocks work. It's no leap at all to assume he can figure out how insects, animals, even plantlife works, given time. Admittedly, the further out from his own current understandings, the longer it would take him, but he spent a long time on that slab with that cockroach. To borrow a phrase from Jessica: he was made of time. --ZachsMind 02:11, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- I agree completely. But again, there's a difference between "obvious" and "confirmed". In any case, I was speaking as to adding "Suspended animation" as a power, which I think we shouldn't.--Hardvice (talk) 02:14, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- Must say... I love this theory! Anomy 02:13, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- Ooh! I came up with a theory? I didn't know it was a theory. I thought everyone knew that's what was going on when they showed Sylar communing with the cockroach. ...Does that mean I can post something to that theory page? Cool! ...how do i do dat? =) ZachsMind 17:12, 31 January 2007 (EST)
- Never mind. Someone else already had that theory. =) ZachsMind 17:26, 31 January 2007 (EST)
- Great conclusions - very plausible. I agree, hold of on suspended animation. However, we should probably have an article for the cockroach. (Plus, we need another animal. :) - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:55, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- The theorie page for the cockroach has already been done but all the credit is for you. You can edit it and complete it as you wish. --FrenchFlo.(talk).(contribs) 17:18, 31 January 2007 (EST)

Not for Anything, but there has been a lot of allusion to Sylar's intuitive capabilities, whether the mind of a psychopathic Genius or a part of his powers. He's not Animal man, and there were quite a few people listed as deceased on the list. Sylar may have thought he needed an ability like that and actively sought him/her out, there by taking the ability . I think the cockroach was a mataphor LaughingMan 5:06 PM 02/06/2007
- Only tangentially related, but there are two problems with assuming that Sylar killed the deceased people on the list: one, Mohinder found it in Chennai. Unless Chandra kept it on a remote server, or flew back to India and updated it, those people were already dead before he met Gabriel Gray. Two, Mohinder says six people from the list have been killed. When you factor in that two of them are Charlie and James Walker, there are a lot more than four Deceaseds.--Hardvice (talk) 17:13, 6 February 2007 (EST)
Second captain
- His name starts "De-", but that's all I can make out on his namebadge. I guess we go with LAPD captain for now unless somebody else has a source for his name (closed captioning?)--Hardvice (talk) 04:35, 30 January 2007 (EST)
Episode Screencap Suggestions
- Any ideas? Preferably something not too spoilerish while the article is AOTW.--Hardvice (talk) 04:40, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- Claire's mom. Heroe 10:57, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- I disagree with Claire's mom - too spoilerish. I suggest something to do with "the fix" - either Nathan talking with Mohinder, or the more dynamical shot of Claude silencing Peter. The latter gets my vote. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:53, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- I like the scene where Claude had his hand over Peter's mouth. The alternative (in a non-spoilerish way) could be the scene where D.L. is phasing through the prison wall, or something with Micah and the ATM ? --Orne 13:18, 30 January 2007 (EST)

I Hate TiVo
Kidding, I don't hate TiVo. Okay, but I feel like a real doof anyway. My TiVo exploded last night, and I missed the first ten minutes of the episode last night. I went to NBC and tried to play the video, but it says "connection error". I really don't want this to become another Genesis issue of pride — does anybody know where I can rewatch the episode? - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:05, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- I can send you a link to the file I pulled off my Tivo. Do you have an email address you don't mind disclosing in public? If not, have Admin email me your email address.--Hardvice (talk) 22:02, 30 January 2007 (EST)
- The episodes replay every Friday @ 7PM on Sci-Fi Channel. I had a problem with last weeks episode, and had to re-watch it myself.--Yoshie (talk) 13:39, 31 January 2007 (EST)
Gordon Family Tree
- I removed this for now. We should wait until we have some idea what Claire's birth family looks like. Chances are Meredith's the only one called Gordon, so a disambig page might not be necessary, and a family page might be better off under her father's surname.--Hardvice (talk) 18:33, 31 January 2007 (EST)
Quotes
- This article now has seven memorable quotes. We probably should set an upper limit before we have the whole script.--Hardvice (talk) 13:59, 6 February 2007 (EST)
Lights Off, Lights On -- Significance?
I noticed this the other day, when re-watching the middle-season shows. When Eden and The Haitian captured Sylar, and he was placed in the holding cell at Primatech, every time in (Fallout) when HRG came to visit Sylar, he would always turn the lights off when he was ready to leave the cell. I got the impression that Sylar was annoyed by being put in the dark against his will.
Later in (The Fix) after Sylar had been recaptured and drugged, when he killed the doctor, and trapped Bennet in the cell, Sylar was very emphatic to "turn the lights on" (even seeming to intensify the light when he did it), before leaving Bennet in the cell on his way to The Bennets' home. I can't think of any pages we have showing the 'lights-on, lights-off' exchange between Bennet and Sylar, nor any page specifically discussing it. Does anyone think this is something worthwhile to be shown somewhere? --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 09/21/2007 11:52 (EST)
- I don't know of anything nonspeculative that can be drawn from it. (Admin 11:57, 21 September 2007 (EDT))
- Right, exactly. It's an interesting theoretical discussion, but nothing more. Personally, I don't see much in it. Incidentally, it is listed as one of his examples of telekinesis. If it's of interest, he also turned off the lights at Union Wells in Homecoming. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:59, 21 September 2007 (EDT)
