Chapter 70:The End of Hana and Drucker

Posted on: Feb 12 2008, 09:20 PM

Hana and Drucker are for sure dead. The title of the GN says so. No one could survive a blast like that. I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing any more of them. What do you guys think? Are they really gone forever or do you believe in this avatar mumbo jumbo??

Which Power could exist in reality?

Posted on: Feb 13 2008, 04:26 PM

I say Maury Parkman’s ability, dream telepathy, is possible. Maybe not the way they show it on the show, but somehow factoring one’s thoughts into someone else’s head while they dream.

After poking around on the activating evolutions site, it got me thinking, so I did some searches and found that dreams, in fact, have been influenced in some cases by other people.

Jung calls it hypnotherapy, here’s an interesting link, I like him better than Freud ;).

Jason, I fully enjoyed the artwork in this issue. I really took notice of how close the likeness of Hiro is compared to Masi. Nicely done!

I agree the artwork was very classy. B)

I wonder if kimiko will have a bigger role in "Villians." If so, I'm sure The Company will approach her in some way, shape, or form. It seems inevitable.

QUOTE(RotanevSitnem @ Feb 22 2008, 08:07 AM) *
As for whether or not Kimiko knows of the ability that Hiro has or even her father has, it is unknown if she has been told about this by her father before he fell to his death in New York.
I really don't think she would be told, unless she stumbled upon Hiro or Kaito using their powers. From what we've seen on the show and online, she doesn't appear to be "in the loop."

Some comments about Ben - great all-around talented person, and formal schooling ended at age 9!?! I did not know that! Amazin' what can be accomplished when ya put your mind to it.

ETA that it seems someone copied and pasted some info about Ben from here... :D
Yeah, definitely some similarities...but wow, what a life! If you read Franklin's autobiography there's even more info then on those two timelines. Talk about a renaissance man. B)

Chapter 73:War Buddies, Part 7

Posted on: Feb 19 2008, 06:43 PM

Linda's name wouldn't appear on her own list though, would it?

Posted on: Feb 25 2008, 06:10 PM

QUOTE(MikeMc @ Feb 23 2008, 03:59 PM) *

If you remember season 1, they kept Linderman a secret for most of that time. I mean, we heard the name Linderman coming up over and over and over again, and we kept getting these uncoincidental connections between Linderman and the heroes. The audience started to wonder just who this Linderman guy was, and how he fit into the story. The writers could be doing something along those again. I mean, building up Arthur Petrelli, keeping him and his identity (characteristics, powers, etc.) a secret for a great reveal (whatever that may be).

If I had to guess, I would say that the writers have big plans for Arthur. At least, anyway, he'll have some critical part in the unfolding of the Heroes universe.
I agree, Arthur must have a critical part in the unfolding of the Heroes universe. But what if he is simply the link between Linderman and Angela? Maybe Arthur is simply a red herring to draw attention away from Angela, she could very well be the mastermind of The Company.

Ya, I wanted to see some analysis too, that' s why I made some submissions. Hopefully it'll come.

Here's some news that sounds pretty cool:
Yeah, it's good to hear that we will get another Ledger film after the Dark Knight and I'm sure that the star-studded additions are really gonna give it their all to pay their respects to Heath. I hope Terry Gilliam does a better job than he did on his last flick, The Brothers Grimm.

The Future of the Company

Posted on: Feb 20 2008, 08:14 PM

QUOTE(Patient87 @ Feb 20 2008, 08:30 AM) *

well for the moment, they don't bag and tag anymore. The company had a lot to endure. In season 1 the company was well organised but almost everyone that worked for them is dead (Eden, Thompson, Kaito, they kinda lost their tracking system since they will have to convince Mohinder to use Molly) And there was Adam and Maury trying to kill the others.

So there is not much left of the well organised company. they will have to re-organise and recruit more members and restart from what's left.

Maybe Nathan can lead this newly organised company ^^

Maybe not bag and tag, but definitely some form of testing...like Monica Dawson. New heroes are bound to pop up and The Company is going to have to keep an inventory on them.

Nathan joining up would be a surprise, but I wouldn't put it past me.

I can guarantee that "Villains" will have The Company gearing up to have a formidable presence again.

Oh good, I'm glad. It's easy to separate an interview by GN when the interviewee has illustrated fifteen novels! Sheesh!
Yeah, that interview was great and very informative. I love his work on the new War Buddies comic, especially everything with Linderman's looks and facial expressions.

Movies you want to see in 2008

Posted on: Feb 21 2008, 01:57 PM

Besides the obvious Iron Man and Dark Knight goodness, it's all about 09 right now for me. On www.joblo.com Zak Snyder released the first pic of "The Watchmen" - I'd have to say thats my number one. The comic is so good and the film has taken decades to make that I have to assume he nailed it. Also "Where the Wild Things Are" - not sure what its gonna be like, but Spike Jonze is one of my favorite directors and its definitely one of my favorite children's books.

Posted on: Feb 21 2008, 02:26 PM

Okay and right after I posted my last reply I read this: We had heard little to nothing about WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE until that clip surfaced online a little while ago but now CHUD are reporting that the film is on the verge of dying. Apparently Warner Bros and Legendary are considering whether or not to re-shoot the entire film. "Suits at Legendary and Warner Bros are not happy with Max Records, the actor playing Max, the mischievous boy who is crowned King of the Wild Things. Worse than that, they don't like the film's tone and want to go back to the script drawing board, possibly losing the Spike Jonze/Dave Eggers script when they do it. Apparently the film is too weird and 'too scary,' and the character of Max is being seen as not likable". Spike Jonze reportedly has final cut on this thing so he can't be forced to redo everything, but either way firing him and bringing on an entirely new team is possible and not out of the question either. In fact, it isn't even without precedent, given EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING. I can understand that the suits might be worried about having spent $75 million on a quirky art-house flick, but Jesus, don't bring Spike Jonze on if you want a paint-by-numbers kids movie. When you hire that dude you know you're getting some cupcakes that's gonna be out there. Personally, even though the footage we saw was way, way early, I thought it looked brilliant. How do you guys feel about this?

Chapter 74:Blindsided

Posted on: Feb 26 2008, 08:42 PM

QUOTE(FutureMuggles @ Feb 26 2008, 12:40 PM) *

I'm sure this has been suggested somewhere but isn't is likely that regenerator blood and healing power only works on recent injuries?

The oldest injury I can think of being healed was when Linderman healed Heidi 6 months after the car crash. Maybe blood has an even shorter shelf-life.
Hmm good point, FM, I was jogging my brain to see if anyone with a true "sustained" injury had been healed in the show. Blood must have a shorter shelf-life based on this GN. B)

From what I understand the light is UV light, the guy thinks he's an angel because he glows but he is really giving off UV rays that as we know kill people He doesn't realize this because 1. he is immune and 2. he can't see them

HRG needs glasses because the rays damaged his retinas. I think it's called Luminescence.

He isn't a flashlight, it is lethal
UV rays wouldn't kill someone on the spot. They damage the DNA bonds which can create cancerous growth. I doubt that UV rays are what make Grisby a serial killer. It has to be more than that.

Nice catch, HERΟ! So it does tie into the dread study. Interesting. That's got to be pretty cool for the guy that submitted the dream, if it is indeed a fan submission. I'm guessing it is more likely to have been written by the writers, though. Still nice to see stuff tie in. Reading the dream submission added a bit to the GN. Wonder if Mohinder's dream study will have further ties to other content we get.

I hope that Ryan sees this soon so he can begin commenting on the boards.

Finally a really cool reward for our participation and dedication! B)

Great Artwork! :)

Identity riddles

How many times does Takezo Kensei love?

On the Yamagato profile, "love" shows up 5 times...anyone see that...

Maybe the second number is 5.

41 & 5

Thoughts?

Chapter 77:On the Lam

Posted on: Mar 19 2008, 03:00 PM

I think that it is unreasonable to suspect that Brian would be our (Nathan's) assassin. Brian does not work for the Company. He's not connected to Angela. He's not the 007 type (cool, measured, well-trained) capable of pulling off such a public hit and 'strolling' away. None of these things fit Brian's persona. He's a reclusive, frightened, vindictive computer nerd..not a skilled, calculating hitman.

I agree Creator, Brian is way too paranoid to take any action, I think his only vendetta could be done via the web.

I'm not so sure he's to be trusted...

If anything, he's asking us for help.

Chapter 78:Bounty Hunter

Posted on: Mar 25 2008, 12:46 PM

So I guess our mystery woman from War Buddies pt. 7 isn't Angela afterall. :(

I'm guessing the unknown woman who dies in this GN is in some way relation to early stages of the Company, but obviously she doesn't survive long enough to be a founder! ;)

Donna, Donna's chat

Chapter 89:Root and Branch 2 (weeding out)

Posted on: Jun 16 2008, 01:00 PM

I've been quiet lately, but it's because I've been keeping a close eye on things.

Seems Agent Sabine’s really in the thick of it now. Have you read Dumont’s Assignment Tracker yet? http://www.primatechpaper.com/AT_2.0/assignmentTracker.php

No surprises there…the root’s always the hardest to find.

She's been barking up the wrong tree.

Thompson's voicemails

Seems Thompson Jr. has some big shoes to fill, first his father, now Bennet. He's been receiving Bennet's forwarded voicemails. I'm mentioned a few times, but no one has a clue about my true identity, still, which is good. I'll post a few.
