|Does Hamlet hold the key to Elle's troubles?
|After the death of her father, Elle was fired from The Company and traveled to London in attempt to get away and rethink her life. However, she started having trouble controlling her power. After declining an offer of help from Pinehearst, Elle tracked down Claude, the invisible man. In desperate need of answers, Elle used her lightning ability to electrify the air and stop Claude. However, she also electrocuted herself...
In London, Lee and Abigail help Claude up on his feet. Claude asks his friends to take Elle back as well. Later, Claude, Lee, and Abigail are discussing Elle's presence as she begins to wake up in Lee and Abigail's flat. Claude tells Lee and Abigail to leave, and talks to Elle. Elle tells Claude that her ability is being overloaded and getting out of control. Claude agrees to help Elle, and takes her to the Globe Theatre, where the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare is being performed. Claude and Elle discuss her father, and Claude urges her to forgive him.
Back at the bathhouse, Elle is relaxing in a hot tub when Abigail steps in, only to be shocked by the water. Abigail, enraged, kicks Elle, and activates her ability just as Lee steps in. Abigail punches Elle with her ability and Lee tells Elle that she should leave. Later, Claude tries to persuade Elle to stay, but Elle decides that she will "never be normal" and lets out a gigantic blast of electricity. Running out of places to go, she heads to the Bennets' home and shocks Lyle.
- "CRnop07in" is written on a wall in Trafalgar Square. This is the password for Claude Rains's Assignment Tracker 2.0 profile.
- At the beginning of the novel, Lee wears a shirt that says !404. This is a shoutout some of Ollie Grigsby's friends. In fact, Ollie has since asked Jason Badower to include a reference to !404 in comics they work on together (such as Rebellion, Part 3, where "!404" can be seen on a billboard and on a bus).
