Absenteeism
Just wanted to let y'all know that I won't be around for the better part of the day tomorrow. It's the first day I meet my students after the summer, and then I'm teaching three back-to-back piano lessons. I'll be available at night if anybody needs anything. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:19, 3 September 2007 (EDT)
Questions
Any questions about this novel that you'd like me to ask Jason Badower or Mark Sable, please post them at this link: Interview talk:Blackout#Interview Questions. Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 07:38, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
Easy redirect
I made hospital (Blackout) redirect to New York City hospital (Blackout). That way, when typing, it's much easier to write "In the hospital (Blackout), Mohinder was met with opposition." than "In the hospital, Mohinder was met with opposition." Hope that helps...and it's something I think we should generally do for hospitals, and maybe consider doing for homes and apartments, too. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:11, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
Shanti virus
I'm thinking it's about time to write an article for the sickness that killed Shanti, ailed the dying patient, and was an obstacle to Molly. I'm not sure how to categorize it, or name it for that matter. A promo for Season Two called it the "Shanti virus", which I'm alright with until we find out more about it in S2. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:13, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
- User:DocM/The virus. I already started one - is it good enough for main space? --DocM 15:14, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
- Generally, yes. It needs some minor grammatical changes (U.S. spelling, "people who", not "people which"), and I'd add some links and more history (Shanti from Homecoming, Molly from Landslide), but the content seems excellent, non-speculative, and ready to go...if it's generally agreed that it should be an article. Again, the name is tough. I don't mind "The virus", but I'd rather something more specific. Again, NBC called it "Shanti virus", but that's kinda silly. Maybe "the virus" is okay until S2 starts? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:23, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
- We should go with what NBC calls it... so 'Shanti virus' works best for me. Hers is the first known case, as far as we know. I would add it to portal:things/items--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:25, 4 September 2007 (EDT)

Timeline
Should we label the events in the story as being in November 2006? They appear to happen after HTSAEM but I'm not sure exactly how long after...--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:21, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
- Let's ask Jason and Mark. I'm sure they'll give us a better answer. But for now, I'd say it's tough to pin it down to anywhere between those four months. I'd just make a heading for "After November 8" or something similar, to be on the safe side. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:24, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
- I just left Jason a comment on his blog about it.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:08, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
