Linda's ability

We now know for sure the ability is touch based. Not sure what she's using the ability to do, except to take people's lives. The dead bodies seem older, though. Maybe we can get Robert Atkins to confirm that she absorbs their youth? If that's so, then it's age transference. Otherwise, it's a form of life absorption like the ability of Rogue and Parasite. However, for Linda, it's an active ability--she controls it; for Rogue and Parasite, it's passive--they would involuntarily absorb the life energies of the people they touched.--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:55, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

  • I'm also noticing that every time she's used the ability, one hand turns blue, and the other is touching the victim's arm. (I'm also glad we didn't call it "power absorption" or anything else like that.) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 05:40, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
  • Regarding asking Robert Atkins, I think people will be doing that at 9th Wonders. I've been keeping in pretty good contact with RD Hall, and I'd rather wait until after the arc is over to ask him any questions, since all will be revealed in the next few weeks. Feel free to add whatever questions you want to Interview talk:R.D. Hall, though. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 05:52, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
    • I asked on 9th Wonders! And per Robert Atkin's comments, "Linda drains the life force from those she touches when using her powers. somewhat like Rogue in X-men, when used on normal people it kills them and give her a "boost". That might mean she doesnt grow older...Im not sure about that." R.D. Hall is also on 9th Wonders and said we would learn more about Linda's ability in the next novel. Also, Robert Atkins has posted the line art and the script.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:06, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

Quality

Was a fun read. It was great to see some action again, and I've been long awaiting this trilogy. A bit disappointed that we didn't find out the identity of Linda's informant, but maybe we will next time. Regardless, it sure looks like the informant lady was a member of the Company, which we now know pre-dated Linderman's involvement and I suspect the writer's are calling version 1.0...--MiamiVolts (talk) 05:03, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

Pamela

Pam Green? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:22, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

  • That could be her, but since we don't know for sure we need a new article.--MiamiVolts (talk) 06:25, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

It *is* a notebook!

Heh. Looks like R.D. Hall also thought that it's a notebook, not a notepad. Just changed those references. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 07:31, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

Linda's car

I believe Linda's car is a Fourth generation Cadillac Eldorado. -Lөvөl 14:58, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

  • That could be right. As for the other car, the script says Linda's informant's car is a black Plymouth Belvedere.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:18, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

Pamela's house

Do we really need this? We don't know anybody's name in the family 'cept for Pamela, and we don't even know the last name of the family. We never see the home except barely in the background, and that's really more a matter of necessity that they have to be somewhere. If Pamela becomes a more prominent figure (like, for instance, if she's Pam Green), maybe we should revisit the article. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:49, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

  • Actually, I'm fine with not adding an article for her house. Like you said, it's not really there except for being in the background.--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:55, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
