Katio's Ability

Came so close to learning it in this GN! I think they are just teasing us now. And this GN came up hella early.--Icefire227 01:37, 2 March 2010 (EST)

  • I just reread the last page of this GN and I think that Kaito might have some sort of spider-sense type of ability. Like a short term precog thing.--Icefire227 01:45, 2 March 2010 (EST)
    • Yeah, episodes keep on pointing to Accelerated probability . . . -- Mike the Man-child!
      • Accelerated probability or clairvoyance--Blood69 04:55, 2 March 2010 (EST)
        • It could also be danger sensing, but I think that would be lame. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 08:07, 2 March 2010 (EST)
          • Well, he has his arms out, like he's trying to control something. Of course, Dio did the same thing whenever he would stop time. Maybe Kaito has the power of Za Warudo after all.--Gibbeynator 09:09, 2 March 2010 (EST)
            • When he had his arms out, I just saw him trying to push Angela out of harms-way, myself. --PowerSink 19:17, 2 March 2010 (EST)
    • What I thought was interesting is that it said "Abilities" at the bottom as oppose to "Ability". So there's a good chance he has an ability will multiple effects.--OutbackZack 13:42, 2 March 2010 (EST)
      • Not likely. The ones from the first one also said "abilities". --mc_hammark 13:43, 2 March 2010 (EST)
        • Because it was listing more than one possible ability. --OutbackZack 14:42, 2 March 2010 (EST)
          • Never mind, you're right. I thought you were referring to another part of the last GN. --OutbackZack 14:47, 2 March 2010 (EST)
  • Yeah, likely a teaser imho. It looked like the file was burnt/torn in that portion, so I'm guessing the paperwork is from the files Hiro discovered in the Yamagato Industries basement and this is connected to the ARG,.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:14, 2 March 2010 (EST)

"Jason and the Argonauts"

Interesting, I wrote this comment last month: "2589-2566 BCE - Pharaoh Khufu, Jason, Thor, Beowulf, Gawain, 1650-2007 - Takezo Kensei, 1706-1790 - Benjamin Franklin, 1840–1877 - Crazy Horse . . . http://www.yamagatofellowship.org/about/

. . . so what should their (Jason, Thor, Beowulf and Gawain's) abilities be, since we know Takezo Kensei had Rapid cell regeneration . . . while Benjamin or William Franklin (depending on who conducted the experiment) had Electrical absorption, but what about Crazy Horse's power though?" -- Mike the Man-child!

  • In reality, Crazy Horse was known to have visions in dreams, sort of like Angela. However, I think part of the repository's point is that these people may or may not have abilities--they're just heroic people, and that's what matters. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:11, 2 March 2010 (EST)
    • Cool! I was hoping we might eventually get a "Jason and the Argonauts" reference. This was a pleasant surprise. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:10, 2 March 2010 (EST)

"Feb. 2010"

  • The cost of the damage is "adjusted for inflation a/o Feb. 2010" — is this part of the Primatech Files or just a note of the editor today? --Juba 06:13, 2 March 2010 (EST)
    • Hmm, I think it's part of the actual files, since there is the asterisk in the file. --mc_hammark 11:22, 2 March 2010 (EST)
      • But since it's not 2010 yet in the Heroes universe, it's probably just an editor's note.--Gibbeynator 15:02, 2 March 2010 (EST)
        • Who says it (still) isn't 2010? - Josh (talk/contribs) 14:58, 2 March 2010 (EST)
          • The last time we had a solid date on what time it was, it was Thanksgiving. Everything after Thanksgiving up until Let it Bleed took place Thanksgiving weekend.--Gibbeynator 15:02, 2 March 2010 (EST)
            • At least in the Carnival storyline...--Boycool42 16:31, 3 March 2010 (EST)
              • Didn't primatech blow up in 2008? That means it has to be an editors note.Gamerelite1 11:56, 7 March 2010 (EST)

Charles Devoux?

Sigh. But when Charles was hit, Linderman said he didn't have much more in him. Doesn't this imply that there is a limit to the healing? That it actually takes energy on his part? This happened with Peter, but he had Jeremy's ability. Or are they implying that it is in fact the same ability? --mc_hammark 11:25, 2 March 2010 (EST)

  • Well, I think that every ability has a limit. But I dont think they have the same ability.-- Yoshi | Talk | Contributions 11:30, 2 March 2010 (EST)
  • I think you're looking a little to far into this. I doubt very much that they were trying to drop a subtle hint that Jeremy and Linderman had the same ability. Remember, John Mulligan also complained about losing energy for his ability, but his power has nothing to do with healing.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 19:49, 2 March 2010 (EST)
    • Keep in mind that abilities are very closely related to emotions. This was a very emotionally trying moment for Linderman--being caught unawares in the middle of a riot, and seeing so many people maimed and injured. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:13, 2 March 2010 (EST)
      • Is it more likely that powers require energy like walking, running or speaking. And you can become weary from overuse if its not passive? --Blood69 19:06, 3 March 2010 (EST)

Again, with the fact they're files.

Some of you may know I made a user subpage for these files, here. I think the only problem we're having is naming them, so I've left my opinion for naming them on the talk page. I'd be grateful for others to edit the page and leave their opinion on the naming on the talk page, rather than discussing it here. --mc_hammark 12:14, 2 March 2010 (EST)

  • Thanks! ~~IHHTalk 17:41, 3 March 2010 (EST)

Chris Coolidge

Since we're obviously not gonna see him again, someone should ask the writter about his possible relationship to Emma.--WarGrowlmon18 12:23, 2 March 2010 (EST)

  • I think we can safely rule out father.--Gibbeynator 14:53, 2 March 2010 (EST)
  • I'm telling you guys, it's all just a huge coincedence.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 19:51, 2 March 2010 (EST)
    • I can ask Howie. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:16, 2 March 2010 (EST)
      • He said, "Chris is Emma's uncle. Her nephew, Christopher, was named after him." Regarding whether or not we would see Chris again, he said, "There's really not a lot of Chris to see anymore, aside from some skull fragments. But the other writers on this mini-series - Foz, Erin, and Zach - have figured out a way to keep Chris' presence around. They've done some cool, subtle little things. You'll see." Very cool. Thanks, Howie! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:50, 2 March 2010 (EST)

Correct Link?

Unlike the other GNs, the link (to NBC) in the infobox doesn't work, have we got the correct address?-- By Danko CH 12:50, 2 March 2010 (EST)

  • Really??? It worked for me when I used it to access the graphic novel earlier.--WarGrowlmon18 13:01, 2 March 2010 (EST)

Bad Mojo

Man, I really hope Emma doesn't have another relative named Chris. One was shot in the head, and the other drowned. Did someone jinx the name or what? Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 17:10, 2 March 2010 (EST)

Instrument

What is Chris playing when he's shot? I think it's a harmonica. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 17:10, 2 March 2010 (EST)

  • I saw a harmonica, yeah --PowerSink 19:20, 2 March 2010 (EST)

Bob

What was he doing? All I saw was him pick up a trash can or something.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 19:47, 2 March 2010 (EST)

  • Right, looked to me like all he did was pick up a trash can. I guess he threw it at the police, but unfortunately I didn't notice any confirmation that he used his ability on the can (though perhaps it is implied based on what he said).--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:08, 2 March 2010 (EST)
    • It would have been cool if he turned the can to gold before he did... whatever. After all, isn't gold really heavy? It would have made a more effective weapon than an empty can.--Gibbeynator 07:02, 5 March 2010 (EST)
