Snake and the Crane?
the Haitian called the Symbol Neclace "the snake and the crane", i suppose the symbol kind of looks like a snake with wings, we were told there would be another meaning to the symbol, is this worth noting?Ehsteve23 11:14, 19 June 2007 (EDT)
- never mind, didn't see that there's already a section for it in The SymbolEhsteve23 11:23, 19 June 2007 (EDT)
Timeline
I think this GN confirms that they took place in the late 1980's. In Company Man, Thompson says he found the Haitian drawing a picture of him "plucking out memories". And in this GN, the Haitian does just that. So I think confirms the time period of this series. Thoughts? --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 20:11, 20 June 2007 (EDT)
- It could be anywhere up to and including 1986. We don't know how old the Haitian is in Company Man; nor do we know how old he is in It Takes a Village. He refers to the Duvaliers, though, and Jean-Claude Duvalier was in power from 1971 until 1986. It's likely that the GN takes place right around 1985 or 1986, but we can't be exactly sure. It's too bad they didn't give us an exact date. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:39, 20 June 2007 (EDT)
