Notes and review
Awesome novel. Kudos to Grigsby for writing in all that action, and in multiple settings. I can see why Badower wanted it, Australia + action, and he did a great job drawing and coloring it. :) Too bad, though, that we don't know what ability the target had, if any at all. He could have been cloned by Dr. Strauss, for all we know. Maybe we'll find out in part 2. It's interesting that this is labeled as only being a 2-parter. I thought it was going to be 3 parts...Maybe part 3 was renamed? BTW, this novel has a subtitle: The Big Bag and Tag.--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:48, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- They said duplicates, not clones. Looks like Evan's power has made a comeback. We also learned Devin's last name, and his evolved human partner, Bianca. All she did was a kick, so I don't know if she even demonstrated her powers. Also, Julien lying to the Company about sensing his third duplicate leads me to belive that he, or rather one of him, might be Evs.--Piemanmoo 04:26, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- Though possible, I think it's too early to say the duplicates are copies of Julien. I took the branch/root thing just to mean that Julien acted as the root, coordinating the efforts of multiple teams out on assignment (branches) from HQ. As for what duplicate means, cloning is a way to achieve duplicates, so I don't think just seeing them is confirmation of an ability being used, as much as I would like it to be.--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:35, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- I can see what you mean there. The fact that Julien and Sabine are partners and he said he could sense them means that she probably knows enough about his ability to know when he's lying. You wouldn't be able to sense clones, but replicants? Possibly. I think that infers that its a power, and though you're right that it's better not to jump the gun on things, I think it would be the most accurate to list them as replication for now. --Piemanmoo 04:40, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- Possibly is not confirmation, so please don't add it there till we have confirmation. Julien could very well have a clairvoyance-like ability like Molly's to know where people are, and not replication. In fact, that's what I was thinking his ability was as he looks to be Native-American (though looks can be deceiving) so a tracking ability makes sense. A tracking ability would also help with his work coordinating agent teams on the bag and tag.--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:49, 3 June 2008 (EDT)

pages for the duplicates
Should we really make a new page for each of the three duplicates? I'm in favor of just putting them all on the same page as julien, since they're techinaly the same character. Plus anything on their pages can go on his too. --Piemanmoo 04:36, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- Read above for my explanation; nowhere does it say they are copies of Julien. We can add a group page for the duplicates, but the individuals still need their own pages. See how we did D.L.'s gang for an example.--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:38, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, but DL's gang was more than one person. Assuming that they are replicants of Julien, I think we should stick them on one page. If you'd rather wait until confirmation from part 2, thats fine. We can put the three on seperate pages. But if we find out they're all the same person, let's combine them again. --Piemanmoo 04:43, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- Agreed. Lets split them for now. When we learn the identity of who they are duplicates of, we can combine them.--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:52, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
