Easter egg, other comments
The egg looks like it's very much in-character to me. It's from the beach scene in Cautionary Tales. It's a cool novel; good to see Noah again. Atkins did good with the art again, except he missed a dotted line in the back of Donna's jacket when she throws the cell phone.--MiamiVolts (talk) 05:47, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
- A good general rule of thumb: if they're looking at the camera, they're probably not in character. Either way, it doesn't hurt to follow suit and list the actors' names. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:46, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
- Actually, it's not that he misses lines, it's the paper he uses that he can't erase lines. They're actually all over, but Robert does a really good job of hiding them where he can. For instance, check the left side of this page, and note the vertical lines used to hide them for the most part. Or see how the dotted border is camouflaged by the pipes in this image. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:49, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, Atkins mentioned that on 9th wonders. He said when there's more time, the inker can usually go in and remove them by coloring over them. I guess I should be complementing Chris, then, for doing as good a job removing as much of lines as he did.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:06, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
Evs
He's my favourite graphic novel character, because he's so awesome. --DocM 06:57, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
Disappointing
Disappointing GN this week for me. Did anything cool happen? Was anything really monumental revealed? Maybe I missed it, but on first-read, it was a sleeper for me. Where's Future Hiro and Sparrow Redhouse? Maybe the Maarten guy or the Walls agents? --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 05/13/2008 14:59 (EST)
- I thought it was almost like a Law & Order episode, kind of have to be a fan of the crime genre to enjoy it I guess. I also thought it interesting that evsdropr somehow was able to recover Donna's cell phone and return it along with Cushing's missing bullet. I'm still puzzling over how Evs managed to get that done...--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:19, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
- ...especially since ballistics matched the bullet to Thompson's gun, but Devin was the one who shot Cushing... --Yamawhata? 18:32, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
- Indeed. I guess it's possible Devin had shot Cushing with Thompson's gun, but I think it's more likely that was a bullet Thompson had fired previously that evs tainted with Cushing's acid. If you look carefully, Thompson pulls out a bullet in bag of his own, though I'm not sure if Thompson's bullet was supposed to be the missing Cushing bullet or one from the other four agents who were killed.--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:52, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
