Marie Dunn is the deceptively quiet and young director of Primatech Executive Services's Operations Division. She has made her reputation through a record of brilliant, ruthless efficiency in the field.
In chapter 2 of Operation Splinter in the iStory, the player meets with Jeremy Woo, Tim Pope, and Marie Dunn in a corn field of a farm in upstate New York. Marie helps to brief the player on what they think happened in the farm house detention facility. Later, Marie is with Jeremy and Tim being briefed by an agent in a Command tent in the field. After Marie learns from the player that Red Eye is likely to go after the Kill Squad during their attack on Maya, and that Task Force KS6 is in danger too, Marie emphasizes the urgency to find Red Eye immediately.
In chapter 3 of Operation Splinter in the iStory, Marie joins Jeremy's conversation with the player and tells the player to let her know when Red Eye begins heading for New York City so her team can prepare a road block and trap him. When the road block fails and Red Eye continues to get closer to Maya's apartment, she authorizes the player to try and stop Red Eye. Then, after the player loses Red Eye's trail, she orders the player to join her and other Primatech agents at Maya's apartment so the player can identify Anna if she turns up.
Chapter 3 continues nearby Maya's apartment building, where Marie directs three squads to enter a storefront in pursuit of the Kill Squad. Two people taken prisoner are brought to Marie, one of which is Anna. Marie then approaches and grabs Anna by the throat. Marie asks where Red Eye is and where he is getting his info. on the Kill Squad, but since Anna is choking she cannot answer. Marie then releases Anna and orders for her and the captured squad member to be taken to a cell so they can be taken apart.
In chapter 5 of Operation Splinter in the iStory, Marie rides with Tim Pope, Jeremy Woo and the Primatech contractor in a convoy headed to the town of Rowland, Alaska inside the Neshwa Indian Reservation. On the ride, Marie helps to silence a conversation about the unknowns of their mission by by noting that the intel is all they have on the squad's potential army, and it is us or them this time. After arriving and setting up a command post outside town, Marie goes on patrol with a squad.
Later in chapter 5, Marie and Tim meet Jeremy and the Primatech contracted player in the basement of the Kill Squad's headquarters. Marie notes that judging by the mess, the Kill Squad just recently bailed out, then comments the situation doesn't feel right right before a gas tank explodes outside and machine guns open fire. Marie stands down with the rest of Primatech when the player suggests it isn't likely that the squad that is attacking. However, when the player later points out a man the player thinks is Kill Squad, Marie dives into a nearby guard, wrenching his gun away and begins a gunfight between Primatech and their captors.
