At the specials for hire bar, Knox tells Hiro and Ando to look tough. Ando puffs out his chest and assumes a stiff posture, but Hiro says, "He said look tough, not like Mr. Roboto." Ando explains that that's his tough guy walk.

  • The song "Mr. Roboto" was performed by the Styx on their 1983 album Kilroy Was Here.
  • The Japanese lyrics of the chorus repeat "どうもありがとうミスターロボット (Dōmo arigatō misutā Robotto)" which translates to "Thank you very much, Mr. Roboto."
