WTF?

Okay, who put in the theory section that "Impaired Hearing" would be a new ability? That just sounds dumb. Being hearing impaired is a thing in a real life, and it's not an ability. Super-Hiro

  • Sound absorption (Agent): According to the agent, his body absorbs all sound waves, enabling him to be immune to all their effects. While he was immune against Echo's amplified sound waves, he is also permanently deaf, suggesting that he can't completely "turn off" his ability.

It is unknown as to whether the ability affects the agent's ability to speak. The agent communicates to Echo using an interpreter to translate his own sign language. While in the same room as the agent and Echo, the interpreter is able to use his voice to speak to Echo, so the agent's ability may not be able to affect other people's ability to communicate with each other.

According to an interview with Yule Caise, sound absorption also allows the agent to move and attack silently. -- Mike the Man-child!

    • Sound absorption had that side-effect, but the actual impaired hearing in itself wasn't an ability
  • I lol'd. --Lolwut 15:56, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
  • I lol'd as well.

Plot Hole?

  • I was wondering how was Peter able to shape shift into the Presidents form? He had never seen him (on-screen) and I swear there was literally no time for him to meet him and touch him. Can anyone shed any light on this? --Lolwut 16:05, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
    • I always took that as Liam taking Nathan and Peter to the President off screen, doing a flash explanation of the situation. Even with the whole hunt going on, I think I'd rather have someone shapeshift in me in order to take down a serial killer who wants to become me than to just say it's nonsense. The Newest Spoiler - Tim Kring - June 1st ish!

The other "organization" could be the one from the Webisodes - destiny, I believe in the making of videos, the writers/directors say that this organization is not with the company. And it is this use of the word "organization" that makes me think this. Any thoughts?--Mc hammark 14:43, 2 June 2009 (EDT)

  • I recall, in an interview, the writers suggested the organization may have altered Edward's ability to also allow creating electricity. Could this be the fascinating way the they're treating specials? - Josh (talk/contribs) 14:51, 2 June 2009 (EDT)
    • It's a way to bring back Santiago, Elisa, Iris, Edward and SWL. I liked those webisodes, even though I rolled my eyes when Iris pulled the same "open hand flame" as Meredith, seriously, how many times Meredith did that? Anyway, it'll be great if we see them again. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:16, 2 June 2009 (EDT)
      • Please tell me they're not gonna do Pinehearst again... they can't be so creatively bankrupt that they'd reuse old plot elements and... *remembers the Washington going nuclear floor painting* wait, never mind... --Gibbeynator 21:51, 2 June 2009 (EDT)
        • I don't want Pinehearst all over again, but the characters, those I'd like to see making a comeback. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:58, 3 June 2009 (EDT)

New cast members again

Shouldn't they be exposed on Spoiler:Heroes page? We already know that new cast members are Madeline Zima and Robert Knepper. --I think so I am

  • Yes, they should. Feel free to upload pictures of them, or even create their articles. We also have another two additional new characters to be added as well. -- Tristan0709 talk 02:57, 5 June 2009 (EDT)

Leaked information

There's been some controversy over the source of the image of the episode 401 script, and other sites have been asked to take it down. Shouldn't we? - Josh (talk/contribs) 13:32, 4 June 2009 (EDT)

No. --Action Figure 00:47, 5 June 2009 (EDT)
  • I'm pretty sure Heroes wiki doesn't have a copy of the picture on their servers. The link in the spoilers page is to a Twitpic page. I think that is ok but we should consider removing themightyfoz as the source since the whole problem started because he didn't posted it. 9th wonders and others did it. Just a suggestion Jfjhong 00:48, 5 June 2009 (EDT)
    • Foz DID post it. He just freaked because his job was on the line, but its passed now. But the pic is a link to Foz's twitpic account. He did it, and I follow him on twitter and SAW it from him. --Action Figure 09:56, 5 June 2009 (EDT)
      • He says his Twitter account was hacked, and if his job was on the line, doesn't that mean NBC doesn't want us to see the image? - Josh (talk/contribs) 11:19, 5 June 2009 (EDT)
        • I saw him posting it too but he is saying otherwise. Not a big deal. He didnt ask Heroes wiki to remove it. Jfjhong 17:03, 5 June 2009 (EDT)
    • 9thWonders didn't have a copy of the image either; they just removed the discussion thread for the image. - Josh (talk/contribs) 11:19, 5 June 2009 (EDT)
    • A hacker didn't take the pic. It was taken on his blackberry in a series of photos showing his desk that he was specifically shooting to show his twitter followers. he even strategically placed the stuff in the pic.... come on. --Action Figure 21:36, 5 June 2009 (EDT)
      • I'm not arguing that I saw that too. Even if you hack into someone's account there is no way you can get physical access to his desk. I guess we leave like that then. 9th wonders removed it because it is pretty controversial. Despite know it was him, IMHO we should change the source from TheMightyFoz to TheMightyFoz Twitter account Jfjhong 09:59, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
        • He admitted posting it and apologized to DarkUFO and SpoilerTV for far calling them liars. It is a valid spoiler. End of story. :) The ODI 15:52, 6 June 2009 (EDT)

James Kyson Lee on Facebook

I don't know if anyone on here is friends with any of the cast on Facebook (I don't really like Twitter!), but on James's today he posted a status update that said "James Kyson Lee went in for fitting for the new season. • No, I think it's him. I'm friends with him, he definitely does not seem like a fake. When I commented on that post, I was under the impression it was sarcasm, not him actually meaning it.-- Tristan0709 talk 01:54, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
    • Why can people believe that celebrities are themselves on Twitter but not Facebook? He updates his page all the time with pictures of events he's been to, or places he visits. Greg Grunberg has a facebook too, though I think he rarely uses it.--JessicaHeartsMatt 07:17, 6 June 2009 (EDT)
      • That is really James because he twitted that too. It was a joke btw Jfjhong 10:00, 6 June 2009 (EDT)

Ray Park

My guess is Ray Park will play the knife thrower. Seems like that'd be a role that would fit him well. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:16, 8 June 2009 (EDT)

  • Yeah, I agree. This could be cool, I like Ray Park. - Super-Hiro

How Hiro will get his full powers back and not almost die when he uses them

Nathan(Sylar) will start to discover new powers (sylar's powers) but to begin with use them for good. As he is good then he will use his fixing power to fix Hiro (like sylar did with Elle in Volume 3).... Discuss please.......:P

  • Sylar fixed Elle's emotional problem by convincing her to forgive herself. Hiro's ability is broken because Arthur removed important parts of it. - Josh (talk/contribs) 17:37, 9 June 2009 (EDT)
    • Well, Hiro is supposed to be going back in time for some reason. Maybe he's going to go back in time to the point when the formula existed and use it... that would be LAME, but it would make more sense than the Kensei sword giving him his powers back again. I'm joking of course, the writers wouldn't really do that, would they?--Gibbeynator 18:34, 9 June 2009 (EDT)
      • I always saw Hiro being able to go back in time a result of his partially restored ability being supercharged by Ando. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 18:40, 9 June 2009 (EDT)
        • IMHO if Hiro gets supercharged, he'll die. -- Altes 07:16, 28 June 2009 (EDT)

Upcoming episodes section

Shouldn't we also have an upcoming episodes section on the spoiler page now that we have the titles for 401 and 402? I would do it but i can't remember how :| TracyStraussFan 16:42, 14 June 2009 (EDT)

The February "Spoiler"

Sparrow Redhouse already made an appearance in "A Clear and Present Danger" --Iheartheroes

  • ...which had actually already happened when the writers said she "will" appear on the show. They obviously hadn't come up with the Rebellion story yet, as they later confirmed that Micah alone was Rebel. - Josh (talk/contribs) 00:15, 28 June 2009 (EDT)

Theories

I'm not sure what some of these theories, such as "Peter only has shape-shifting." have to do with spoilers. Perhaps there should be some mechanism for specifying what spoiler a theory is based on.

While we're on the topic, what about a Spoiler:Theories page where spoiler-based theories can get the normal theory treatment? There are certainly plenty of theories to fill the page at this time. - Josh (talk/contribs) 16:10, 29 June 2009 (EDT)

  • Any comments? - Josh (talk/contribs) 16:55, 13 July 2009 (EDT)
    • Go for it. Just be sure to clear it each season. --Yamawhata? 18:16, 14 July 2009 (EDT)
      • Rather, remove whatever theories are no longer based on spoilers. - Josh (talk/contribs) 18:37, 14 July 2009 (EDT)
        • A bunch of theories seem like they could have been made up without knowing spoilers; they should be moved to other theory pages. - Josh (talk/contribs) 18:09, 15 July 2009 (EDT)

No Barons in Comic Con S4 Trailer

Ryan forwarded me an e-mail he received from the father of Quin and Reed Baron. According to him, the baby in the trailer is neither Quin nor Reed Baron. So we have a new unknown actor/actress to account for. Please update the spoilers and related pages as appropriate. Thanks.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:40, 29 July 2009 (EDT)

Season Regular?

It says that Samuel will be season regular. What does that mean? Does that mean a main character or a supporting character?

  • I believe that means main. But i could be wrong.--Catalyst · Talk · HL 23:33, 31 July 2009 (EDT)

So...

The writers are just stealing episode titles from Lost now, huh? Can't wait for the epic 2 part season finale, "The Constant" and "The Variable".--Gibbeynator 13:58, 8 August 2009 (EDT)

Lost? Nope, they're clearly stealing the title from Criminal Minds (which used it last May). Of course Criminal Minds obviously stole it from Stargate Atlantis (which used it in November 07). Now SG:Atlantis DID steal it from Lost, of course (who'd used it in October 04). But then again, Lost had plainly stolen it from Justice League (Oct 03), who stole it from Buffy (Nov 01), who stole it from Law & Order (April 99). ... Or, maybe it's just a common phrase that several totally unrelated series all decided would make a good episode name, and nobody actually stole it from anybody else? Naah... that'd be too obvious. ;-) --Maelwys 10:34, 10 August 2009 (EDT)
Well that explains Tabula Rasa, but how about One of Us, One of Them, or Orientation?

PS, I'm not REALLY being serious.--Gibbeynator 15:17, 11 August 2009 (EDT)

  • I'm still waiting for the crossover episode when Sylar shows up on the Island and Mohinder is revealed to work for the DHARMA Initiative... --Yamawhata? 15:21, 11 August 2009 (EDT)
    • Of course. Sylar really needs the ability to summon birds, or talk to dead people, or be immune to the rules of time travel.--Gibbeynator 19:28, 11 August 2009 (EDT)
  • Lol, i was just thinking the same thing. Also, Lost had an episode called Homecoming and there's Collision as well.

So... Collision, Homecoming, One of Us, One of them (2 separate episodes on lost, but meh), orientation and tabula rasa have all been stolen from lost. Lol, next we'll have Live Together and Die Alone as 2 episodes TracyStraussFan 17:59, 13 August 2009 (EDT)

  • No one stole any epsiode names from anyone. Names repeat on different shows. The names of the episodes are not copyright. No one stole anything from anyone. They could of looked at lost for title names, god knows but don't think that anyone stole from anything without evidence of the act.

Promo pics

Any idea if we're getting any new promo pics for this season? Cause they seem to be using the old ones, even the big one with Maya in it. I thought they might wanna change it up a bit, one with Sythan would be cool. TracyStraussFan 18:02, 13 August 2009 (EDT)

YAY!!!

Charlie will appear in one episode!!! It sucks cause they said they wouldn't use timetravel anymore, but we get to see Charlie again, so I consider it a fair trade. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 18:05, 24 August 2009 (EDT)

  • Really? Thats amazing!Vampirate68 | Talk | Contribs
  • I just had a "two days without sleep" moment - I thought you were talking about LOST. (Where Charlie also died and the writers said something about no time travel, but did anyway) --Yamawhata? 23:05, 24 August 2009 (EDT)
  • If it makes you feel any better, Charlie (from Lost) is set to return this season. -Vampirate68 | Talk | Contribs
    • Hey, just thought, with the return of Charlie (assumming that she appears in the episode "Once Upon a Time in Texas") she will be the new character with the longest gap between being seen. The one just now is Mohinder's landlord with 55 episodes of a gap, but with Charlie, I count that it will be around 58!!! --mc_hammark 08:19, 30 August 2009 (EDT)
      • Doubt it, Charlie can be seen in Sylar's eyes when he is defeated at Kirby Plaza. AltesUTC CH
        • I suppose. On another note, Jackie (from Homecoming) is set to return as well. Maybe they'll meet or something like that. --mc_hammark 15:34, 3 September 2009 (EDT)
          • It probably has to do with the Once Upon a Time in Texas episode, it's supposed to be about a timeline in which Hiro goes back in time and kills Sylar before he gets to Charlie, Jackie surviving would be an implication of that, since in the original timeline, she was killed after Charlie. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:48, 3 September 2009 (EDT)
  • If that happens then everything changes. Everything. Nothing we have seen up until now will be true. Hiro would regain his powers. Arthur would still be dead. Adam would still be locked up. Linderman would be in charge of the Company. Peter would have his powers. Niki and DL would still be alive.

I'm starting to think that this would be much much better. Although HRG would still be a company man. Shame. --mc_hammark 15:51, 3 September 2009 (EDT)

    • It probably will be just one or two episodes, my guess is that by killing Sylar something much worse will happen, cause as Angela Petrelli so wisely told us, "you don't screw with time". Then Hiro will see that the only way to set things right again will be letting things happen naturally, though my mind screams "PARADOX!!!" at the idea of how this will happen. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:06, 3 September 2009 (EDT)
  • I think Sylar's not gonna die. Its either a flashback or going back in time. Like Episode:Villains, its the same stuff, but fill in gaps with other information....
  • Has it really been three years since Charlie's death? It doesn't appear to have been that long, yet the episode's description mentions it. I'm very happy that we'll see her again, provided the plot is done well. Swm 10:29, 9 October 2009 (EDT)
    • Maybe Hiro will go to 2004, not 2006, and somehow prevent Charlie from getting the blood clot. AltesUTC CH
      • In real world, it has been three years but in Heroes world, it is fall of 2007.... ~~IHHTalk 15:29, 9 October 2009 (EDT)

Is Chapter 3 still called acceptance?

The info for Ink was released and its date is for the 28th, does than not make it chapter 3, and not four, or are they a double episode as well and they just haven't released Acceptance's info? --mc_hammark 14:25, 18 September 2009 (EDT)

  • I was wandering about that too. I think that Ink is now chapter 3 but I'm not sure. One of the recent spoilers says that it was initially four but that it was changed. And then I looked at the Heroes page on wikipedia.org and it said that Ink was three. But this site still says four, so I'm not sure..~~ Iheartheroes 15:33, 18 September 2009 (EDT)

Main Character?

I apologize if this subject has already been brought into a discussion on the Wiki, but Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder) did confirm that his character will be in this season, correct? However, he was not in the premiere. Have there been any official statements as to whether or not Mohinder will be a main character this season? --Lynn Dolyn 12:03, 22 September 2009 (EDT)

Episode 6 is not called Strange Attractors

As I can't see the guide for I live in England, I looked at the offical Heroes page on facebook and it named the next episode as Hell Week, it has been accurate before, so mabye we're wrong about this? --IronyUTC CH 12:28, 23 October 2009 (EDT)

  • It is. It's on the NBC website. I believe it has more canonicity than the facebook page. Worst thing that could happen is it is wrong. Then we will just change it. Have a look at the next on section. --mc_hammark 12:41, 23 October 2009 (EDT)
  • Just checked it out, the name "Hell Week" is just for the promotional video not the name of the episode. Strange Attractors is the right name -- Jenx222 · U · T · C 08:41, 25 October 2009 (EDT)

I don't mean to complain, but...

Do we really need this competition between sites to link to themselves? All press release and promo pic spoilers should link to NBC UMV, and if we have one source for a spoiler, we don't need a second link with a repost of the same thing. Practically every second source had a link to "Heroes TV Guide" added onto it after an original poster had already added the spoiler! -- Tristan0709 talk 01:48, 25 October 2009 (EDT)

  • I completely agree. We should always link to NBC when possible. If another site is giving us original spoilers or new information, then of course we can link to that site. I don't follow the spoiler pages too much, but if there is edit warring going on, or people jockeying to have their links on here, then please let me or one of the other administrators know so we can warn, instruct, and take action if needed. Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:04, 25 October 2009 (EDT)
    • It's not edit warring to any degree, but that site I mentioned, Heroes TV Guide, tends to add a link to their site (usually the exact same thing), right next to the original link. I think NBC UMV redesigned their website and now we cannot directly link to their descriptions, which is annoying, but for now I've just put a link to [nbcumv.com] as the source. -- Tristan0709 talk 03:02, 25 October 2009 (EDT)
      • To be honest, I don't think we even need to link to the episode descriptions. They all come directly from NBC, and that's credited on each of the episode's spoiler pages. In fact, it's a heading in and of itself. I don't have much time invested in the spoiler pages, so maybe somebody else who is here more often will disagree with me...but I think we're fine in taking out the row from the table that points to the NBC blurb as a spoiler. First, it's not a spoiler, it's a press release. Second, the original source is always the same: NBC. Third, the original text of the episode description is on this page, and it is also properly credited and transcribed on each episode spoiler page. I would remove the description row from the table, and I would certainly remove links to second-hand sources. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 03:33, 25 October 2009 (EDT)
        • Done. I agree, this page should just be for set photos, casting calls, gossip column spoilers, etc. NBC promos, promo pics, and press releases have been removed. -- Tristan0709 talk 03:45, 25 October 2009 (EDT)
          • If those things aren't spoilers, then where do they go? - Josh (talk/contribs) 15:06, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
            • I would actually have to disagree on some points, unless NBC is coming down and saying to remove them, then I understand. Press releases and episode descriptions can be viewed by anyone on NBC so no problem there. However, promos and promo pics can not be viewed by all fans. Promos (sneak peeks) are sometimes US Only and fans across the world can not view them OR can not view them because of the flash video player on NBC. Promo pics although can be seen in a gallery sometimes and only small thumbnails are shown. Fan/blog/news/media sites post the promo pics under guidelines set by NBC to help promote the show and by removing them from HeroesWiki spoilers page will eventually hurt HeroesWiki as it is a resource for spoilers such as promos and promo pics. Unless a place for these was created on HeroesWiki, links to them should NOT be removed. Fans will eventually realize there is no value to the spoilers page and eventually stop visiting the page especially once production ends. If that is the goal then continue with this policy, but if the goal is to hype up the show we all love and promote it to the fan base then I disagree with this policy. BTW Tristan in the next post (below) you say: "As you can see above, it was decided (or not argued against, at least)...." WOW. Don't get me wrong but I thought this site was for the Heroes community? A decision is made in two hours? Is that really enough time for any one to maybe make a counter point that could be valid? Thanks HeroesSpoilers 18:16, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
              • I agree that the NBC blurbs should be linked back to NBC (or not linked at all), but I think it's okay to link to a site that hosts the promo photos. The promo photos that NBC releases are not put on NBC.com until after the episode airs. The ones that they put on NBCUMV are only viewable by those who have an account (i.e. press). So if a spoiler site like The ODI hosts the images, I think it's fine to have a link back to that site. It's the NBC blurbs that really don't need to be linked. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:28, 29 October 2009 (EDT)

Spoilers

Why were alot of spoilers deleted? Like ones about upcoming episodes that haven't occured yet? And why was Joseph Sullivan changed to Samuel's brother?? ~~IHHTalk 12:51, 25 October 2009 (EDT)

  • I did a big clean-up of spoilers yesterday. As you can see above, it was decided (or not argued against, at least) that links to official descriptions, promotional photos and trailers, and anything else that comes from NBC does not belong here, as all sources were sites linking to their own repost of NBC's things. The descriptions stay under the episode titles at the top, but extra links to webpages telling us the exact same thing whilst giving a spoiler site an extra hit do not. Broad spoilers like "Tracy will be a major character" and "Tracy will have new powers were removed", as it can be argued that these were evident in the first episode, or haven't even happened yet. For spoilers with two links to different websites, the latter was always removed. A lot (almost all) of the theories were removed because they had no base in spoilers at all. Generally, the only things that belong in the spoiler tables from now on are cast interviews NOT done by NBC, casting calls, and set photos. Joseph Sullivan was changed to "Samuel's brother" by me, because the only spoiler articles listed on our spoilers page that I could find that mentioned him didn't cal him by name, and there's nothing to suggest that that's who he'll be playing (it's actually MORE likely he'll be playing an unreferenced character than a dead one...). Hope I've managed to make myself understandable? -- Tristan0709 talk 04:24, 26 October 2009 (EDT)

Upcoming directors

It's not really a spoiler, but I wanted to record it somewhere, and the page for episode 413 has not been created yet. Anyway, Jeannot Szwarc directed 413. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:49, 29 October 2009 (EDT)

  • It's strange that we have the name for episodes 412 & 414 but not 413? - Jenx222 | U · T · CHTC 14:53, 29 October 2009 (EDT)
    • Yeah, it's just what we've scoured from various sources so far... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:57, 29 October 2009 (EDT)
  • 413 was written by Jim Martin. Awesome for him! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:34, 5 November 2009 (EST)

See this is what I really hate

In tonight's episode, in the promo's, Sylar has his long, combed back hair, but in season one, he had short hair. --mc_hammark 15:10, 2 November 2009 (EST)

  • He only had short hair after the Company caught him in Homecoming, when he escapes leaving Noah in his cell, he says "This is for the haircut". Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:19, 2 November 2009 (EST)
    • I'm pretty sure that in six months ago he definitly had short hair in the diner. Or was that not zach quinto at the time? --mc_hammark 15:21, 2 November 2009 (EST)

Episode titles

From Jim Martin: "414 (which is chapter 13) is Let It Bleed and 415 (which is chapter 14) is Close To You... 16 (which is chapter 15) is Pass/Fail." Awesome. That helps a lot. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:25, 5 November 2009 (EST)

Sixteenth Hour

For Spoiler: Pass/ Fail, it says the sixteenth hour, whats the sixteenth hour? daevon 00:16, 6 November 2009 (EST)
